Purani Dilli Food Festival Duration : 16 - 27 th July
After coming just back from Delhi , i was missing delhi food and i came to know about the dilli food fest going on at Momo Cafe and i was so xcited to attend it . So i attended it and let me tell you it was a great delight to be here , from the entrance to the ambiance inside everything had that "dilli" feel . A great idea to relish dilli food in pune by the executive chef . From shikanji and lassi to chandni chowk's parathe to jama masjid's kebabs and nihari , everything was here .
☀Beverages - Without lassi and shikanji dilli food is incomplete , they are the two things that are close to the heart of any delhi person . Perfect balance of taste in shikanji and addition of malai to lassi it felt refreshing to have them .
☀Chaats - Dilli has uncountable varieties of chaat no doubt , but major ones were present here such as gol gappe , bhel puri , kachori , "natraj k dahi bhalle" , katori chat , ragda , samosa , allo tikki chaat , aloo kachalu chaat . Everything had that dilli's feel and taste to it, I loved the katori chaat it was crunchy and extremely flavourful in every bite. Not to forget about "natraj k dahi bhalle" so these are must have in chandni chowk and experiencing this in pune is just a great chance which one should not miss .
☀Kebab Ghar - This was a live counter where you can treat your senses . These had Chicken Fry Kebab , Mahi kebab (Fish Variant) , Mutton Seekh Kebab and lastly the highly popular 'Chicken Changezi Kebab' You can find this one at every restaurant in delhi , its just an ultimate favourite and an ancient kebab not to be missed . The kebabs were juicy , succulent and aromatic too . If you are a kebab fan you got to visit here .
☀Tawa Se - They also had variants of Chilla , Cholle Kulche , and varieties of parathe ( Aloo, Laccha, Gobi, Mili, Mutter aur Arvi ) . Kulche were soft , fluffy and Cholle were medium spicy . Parathe can never go wrong , tried the gobi parathe and it was succulent.
☀Dhaba Se - It started with shorba had both veg and chicken variant . What else do you need in this monsoon a warm bowl of shorba with delectable taste . The spices were very well balanced . In the main course : NonVeg- Gosht Nihari , Aslams Butter Chicken , Murgh Handi . Being only a chicketerian i just tried the chicken main course but nihari gosht is a must try dish again a highly popular dish quite famous in the lanes of jama masjid . Coming to butter chicken it was the best butter chicken i ever had from taste to feel to the richness of the gravy everything was just perfectly perfect the chicken pieces were properly cooked and it was juicy as well . Veg- Yes they had variety of veg main course too but i was extremely filled with the butter chicken that i couldnt try veg dishes .
☀ Desserts -
Jalebi rabdi, Kheer Benazir (Rice), Karachi halwa, Kulfi falooda, Icecream wala, Shahi tukda, Motichoor ke laddo, Sheeren Bhawan kesari rasmalai, Soan Papdi, Sohan Halwa, Bharwan gulab jamun A perfect heaven for dessert lovers . There were live counters of Jalebi rabdi and kulfi falooda which are definitely not to be missed .
Should You Attend The Festival - Definitely Yes , I was totally satisfied with the food and taste and i would highly recommend you to...

Courtyard Marriott – Seafood Festival!
The ongoing Sassoon Dock festival at Courtyard Marriott offers a wide spread of coastal cuisine. The fresh fish are procured daily from the Sassoon Dock, Mumbai which is one of the oldest and largest fish market in Mumbai. The Menu for this exclusive festival is curated by Chef Rounak Kinger. The setup is nicely done with a Lively Seafood counter where you get shallow fry or deep fried fish in your choice of different Indian as well as International marinades. A small fisherman boat with net and fisherman's basket with fresh catch of the fish on display will definitely catch your attention. Salads, Mains and Desserts are served in a Buffet.
We were welcomed with Orange and Basil based mocktail which was outstanding. Indeed a very refreshing start to our meal.
The salad counter had good options in veg and non veg as well. I tried Glass Noodle with Prawns, Poached fish with orange segment, beetroot with chicken salad and spicy chicken sausages salad which were excellent in taste. A sea food counter with poached prawns mussels, clams, and calamari with variety of dressing is also available.
The main section also had some really impressive dishes. I decide to try few Indian dishes from it and trust me all were truly delicious, I had Malwani Fish Curry, Crab Masala, Prawns Manglorean Masala and Murgh Gassi. All dishes had distinctive taste and were one of the best food preparations which I have had.
The desserts section had variety of Cakes, Pastry, Indian Sweets and Ice Creams. I personally loved the Fruit Cake, Chocolate Truffle Cake, Lamington and Fruit Custard which were superbly done. All the desserts were perfect on sweetness level. Lamington and Fruit cake is a must have.
Dinner Only – 7 PM onward.
