Blue's Kitchen is a delightful small eatery that effortlessly combines the rich flavors of Thai and Japanese cuisine. Nestled in a cozy setting, this hidden gem offers an inviting atmosphere and an impressive menu that captures the essence of both culinary traditions.
We had the pleasure of trying three dishes that truly showcased the restaurant's commitment to authenticity and taste. The Thai Chilli Tofu was a revelation. The tofu was expertly prepared, retaining its silky texture while absorbing the fiery chili sauce. The balance of heat and flavors in this dish was exquisite, leaving us craving for more.
The Crispy Chicken in Thai Chili Basil Sauce was another highlight. The chicken was flawlessly cooked to achieve a delightful crunch on the outside while remaining succulent and juicy on the inside. The accompanying Thai chili basil sauce added a tantalizing kick, infusing the dish with aromatic flavors that elevated the overall experience.
For sushi lovers, the Crunchy Avocado Sushi was a treat for the senses. The combination of creamy avocado, crisp tempura batter, and perfectly seasoned rice created a delightful texture contrast. Each bite offered a harmonious blend of flavors, leaving us thoroughly satisfied.
What impressed us most about Blue's Kitchen was the evident care and attention to detail in every dish. The ingredients used were fresh and of exceptional quality, contributing to the authenticity and overall excellence of the meal.
The service at Blue's Kitchen was friendly and attentive, adding to the warm and welcoming ambiance. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu, offering helpful recommendations and ensuring a seamless dining experience.

Read moreI had read about Blue's kitchen getting many awards and accolades for their authenticity of the Japanese cuisine but wasn't finding the time to go there
I finally went to the Bandra outlet couple of days back , the seating area of the outlet isn't that big , they have 4 tables for indoor and couple more for outdoor seating! The place is small but seat up nicely! We chose a table from where we could have an open view to the kitchen and see how out food was going to be prepared
We had ordered for
TOFU CHILLI BASIL
The Veg appetizer wasn't on the to do list but the waiter recommended this dish and we went for it , it was really nice as the tofu had a very nice texture to it! The sauce in which the tofu was drenched was equally good wasn't very spicy but gave the bland tofu the kick it needed! Loved the way the tofu was textured though, rough and crunchy on the outside , soft and fresh on the inside! Highly Recommended
JALAPEÑO SALMON ROLL
I prefer the nori less sushis , the jalapeño roll had avocado tucked inside a salmon roll and topped off with salmon roe and a jalapeños, the earthy blandness of the avocado coupled with the spicy jalapeños was great , the salmon was fresh and honestly I loved the cheese sauce dripping out it although a tinge less of it would have been great! The small roe bursting in your mouth gave a fun aftertaste to the dish!
ONYAKADON DONBURI
Donburi is a meal in itself, rice , toppings and a gravy or sauce are presented in a bowl for one! The onyakadon wasn't recommended by the waiter as it had a sauce which had a subtle taste as compared to the other ones on the menu which were gravy based , I went for this because it is an authentic Japanese preparation and I liked it! The flavors were subtle and the rice was moist! Grilled chicken was the topping for it
I would certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is craving authentic and satisfying...
Read moreI'm pleasantly surprised at how well this place justifies their walls full of awards. Deservingly so! I just loved each part of the meal so stay on to read further about my experience here :
Here's all I sampled : Edamame Truffle Dimsum (5/5) : Huge pieces, filled well and the combination of Edamame and truffle can never go wrong. I really liked these alot and they were melt in the mouth.
Crunchy Avocado Sushi (5/5) : HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I loved this to bits. 6 huge pieces (almost double of a normal Maki size) with generous filling of avocado and the crunchy topping. It was bomb. I loved the quality of sushi rice, kikoman soy also. Definitely going back here for this.
Mushroom Gyoza (3/5) : While the filling was good, the bottom of the Gyoza wasn't crispy like it should've been. Rather went bit soggy like momos , but this could be a one off incident.
Green Thai Curry with Jasmine Rice (5/5) : HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. The best Thai curry I've had in all of Mumbai. It was actually very perfect in terms of the balance, consistency and flavour profile. The quantity is good enough to suffice 2 for a meal. At this price point, I found this a steal. Will be calling for this very soon again
Honey Toast with Sesame Icecream (5/5) : Sesame Icecream is a definite acquired taste but if you like to experiment I definitely recommend ordering this. We went for a half portion as we were too full but don't regret it a bit. The calories were totally worth it. The honey toast was perfectly buttery, sweet and salt. Extremely well balanced dessert.
Overall, I think Blue's stands true to their awards and lives up to the...
