Jukebox and Girgaon Chowpatty!!!

Cafe Ideal is one of the few restaurants nearby to Girgaon Chowpatty serving alcohol. Two great things about this place is the vicinity it is located and the old bollywood songs on their Jukebox. After having a couple of drinks along with few food bites, walk to the Chowpatty, sit back and relax on beach. Not a perfect weekend beach getaway but fair enough one.

Apart from above two, everything else about this restaurant is not so promising. Average ambience, just like the casual dining place. In few of the corners area beneath the tables is not at all clean. Rude staff, you will get the same treatment like you get in a busy tea cafe nearby any railway station. Food will vary from dish to dish. Few dishes are overpriced and few are so bad that you won't be able to finish them. We ordered Biryani and egg dishes. Biryani was okay in quantity but tasted good. They serve only beer, no hard drinks. Prefer to order bottled beer over draught.

Overall: Prefer the place if afterwards you are planning to sit back and relax on Girgaon Chowpatty for a while. Order couple of beer and...

One of d oldest places in south mumbai that serves beer, port wine and lots of food which is egg based or vegetarian..a little frustrating for non vegetarians but u ll still enjoy the place.

The old school juke box adds to the vibe..u can play ur songs by paying a small fee..

Enjoy the beer and the food. Beautiful place on a rainy evening...soak in d atmosphere while u munch on good food..the burger is great, paneer chilly is good, the place is popular for its sizzlers..all items on d menu r reasonably good. ..the place in general is pretty enjoyable..has become a bit of a family place offlate..can b noisy on weekends...if u r ok no worries..my favourite time is on a weekday during twilight or u can go in d afternoons when its usually very quiet...o btw the coffee here is much better than many coffee shops around so do try it..pretty underrated but enjoyable.

Staff is good ..the place is reasonably priced...500 per person with food n drinks..

We tried the mac and cheese pasta, akuri (spiced scrambled eggs), paneer bhurji, and a draft beer. The dishes were well-prepared and flavourful—simple comfort food done right. However, the experience was somewhat diminished by the reluctant staff and noticeably delayed service. Despite the place not being overly crowded, getting attention from the servers took repeated efforts, which took away from the otherwise peaceful vibe.

Overall, it’s a spot with great potential—ideal for a casual outing if you're not in a hurry. A little more warmth and efficiency from the staff could turn this average experience into something...
