Read moreFinally I get to write about this place. I was waiting since long time to visit this place and try their food. We many a times made plan but cause of some or the other reason had to cancel it. So, I being from Konkan I am a very crazy sea food lover. I heard about this place from my cousin, who keeps suggesting me great places to visit. When she told me about this place, I immediately started craving to try all that she told me about. This place is located few minutes before Siddhivinayak temple if you travel from station. This place is none other than @chaitanya_malvani . This place serves authentic malvani cuisine not just non-vegetarian but also vegetarian delicacies like Ukadiche (steamed) Modak, Amboli and many more from Konkan region. Sorry vegetarians we didn’t try them this time.
What we had: Crab 🦀Lollipop🍗: These are made of tender crab meat, coated with some secret ingredients and spices and fried. Served with red chutney. This is their must try and we surely recommend it too. They were perfectly crispy outside and tender inside. Chaitanya Special Prawns 🍤Thali🥗: This thali is a huge spread and consist approximately 300-400 gms of Prawns cooked in various forms. Starting clock wise in the image: Dry Baby Prawns (Javala) with brinjal and potato, fish curry, Solkadi, Rice Bhakari(Indian bread), Prawns Bhujane(Curry form), Dry Baby Prawn Roast Salad, Prawns Masala, in middle Prawns fry in next image Prawns Rice. Prawns were perfectly cooked. Taste of each of this was amazing and quantity of prawns used was totally worth the price. If you have good appetite this one is for you. Solkadi: This is made of Kokam, Coconut milk and few spices. It’s perfect to end your meal as it helps in digestion. Do try this. Tip: If you plan to visit this place over weekends please make sure you reach early as it is very crowded and has waiting list. Also you can try their new outlet @nav_chaitanya in Versova.
