A Culinary Delight at Chaitanya Hotel: A Konkani Nonveg Paradise

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Chaitanya Hotel, and I must say, it was an absolute delight for both my taste buds and my overall experience. Nestled in a bustling neighborhood, this hotel holds a special place in my heart for its authentic Konkani nonveg cuisine, with an incredible specialty in fish dishes.

From the moment I entered Chaitanya Hotel, I was greeted by the warm and friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The ambiance was inviting, with a touch of Konkani culture and art that added to the overall charm of the place. It was evident that the hotel prided itself on maintaining a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.

Now let's talk about the star of the show: the food! Chaitanya Hotel truly excels in serving the most authentic and delectable Konkani nonveg dishes. The highlight, of course, is their expertise in preparing fish in various mouthwatering styles. Each dish was prepared with precision, using the freshest ingredients and traditional recipes that truly captured the essence of Konkani cuisine.

I had the pleasure of trying their special Chicken Thali, and it was a feast for the senses. The ckicken was impeccably cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. The Thali included an array of perfectly spiced curries, complemented by aromatic biryani, chicken sukka, and a delightful assortment of traditional accompaniments. Every bite was a journey through the rich flavors and culinary heritage of the Konkani region.

What impressed me the most about Chaitanya Hotel was the attention to detail and the commitment to quality. The staff was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the dishes, happily sharing their recommendations and explaining the nuances of the cuisine. Their passion for serving authentic Konkani nonveg food was truly evident in every aspect of my dining experience.

Furthermore, the service was impeccable, with attentive staff members who ensured that every need was met promptly and with a smile. The overall cleanliness and hygiene standards were exceptional, creating a comfortable and safe environment for diners.

To sum it up, Chaitanya Hotel is a true gem for anyone seeking an extraordinary culinary experience. Whether you're a fan of Konkani cuisine or simply a lover of delicious food, this hotel will undoubtedly leave you satisfied and craving for more. I wholeheartedly recommend Chaitanya Hotel to anyone looking to savor the best of Konkani nonveg cuisine, especially their exceptional fish dishes. It's a dining experience you won't want to miss!

Finally I get to write about this place. I was waiting since long time to visit this place and try their food. We many a times made plan but cause of some or the other reason had to cancel it. So, I being from Konkan I am a very crazy sea food lover. I heard about this place from my cousin, who keeps suggesting me great places to visit. When she told me about this place, I immediately started craving to try all that she told me about. This place is located few minutes before Siddhivinayak temple if you travel from station. This place is none other than @chaitanya_malvani . This place serves authentic malvani cuisine not just non-vegetarian but also vegetarian delicacies like Ukadiche (steamed) Modak, Amboli and many more from Konkan region. Sorry vegetarians we didn’t try them this time.

What we had: Crab 🦀Lollipop🍗: These are made of tender crab meat, coated with some secret ingredients and spices and fried. Served with red chutney. This is their must try and we surely recommend it too. They were perfectly crispy outside and tender inside. Chaitanya Special Prawns 🍤Thali🥗: This thali is a huge spread and consist approximately 300-400 gms of Prawns cooked in various forms. Starting clock wise in the image: Dry Baby Prawns (Javala) with brinjal and potato, fish curry, Solkadi, Rice Bhakari(Indian bread), Prawns Bhujane(Curry form), Dry Baby Prawn Roast Salad, Prawns Masala, in middle Prawns fry in next image Prawns Rice. Prawns were perfectly cooked. Taste of each of this was amazing and quantity of prawns used was totally worth the price. If you have good appetite this one is for you. Solkadi: This is made of Kokam, Coconut milk and few spices. It’s perfect to end your meal as it helps in digestion. Do try this. Tip: If you plan to visit this place over weekends please make sure you reach early as it is very crowded and has waiting list. Also you can try their new outlet @nav_chaitanya in Versova.

Chaitanya is a safe haven for all non vegetarian food lovers. From their sea food to chicken dishes, everything is just amazing. It's not a very large restaurant but no other restaurant can offer what Chaitanya offers. If you want a table here, you need to get here early on weekends otherwise you will end up waiting for long hours for a table. It's located on the main road so parking is an issue but you can park in the nearby roads. It's a best place to go with families as the food is really like homemade and authentic. We ordered their : Crab Lollipop Chicken Lollipop Chaitanya Special Prawns Thali Chicken Thali Surmai Thali Bombil Thali

Crab Lollipop: The best thing I have ever had. I mean no one could imagine a crab in terms of a lollipop. But the people here proved it wrong by making such an innovative dish.

Chicken Lollipop: I mean you should have looked at the size of those. They were huge and fleshy, the chicken very succulent served with schezwan chutney.

Chaitanya Special Prawns Thali: It contained fried prawns, prawns masala and a prawns curry served with bread of your choice. It also contained a fish curry and sol kadi.

Chicken Thali :It contained Chicken masala and chicken curry served with hot piping Wade. The best combination ever.

Surmai Thali: It contained a big piece of fried surmai. I mean it was really big and looked somewhat like a heart(lol). It was accompanied by a fish curry and beans vegetable.

Bombil(Bombay duck) Thali: It contained fried bombil accompanied by bangda curry. It also had a bowl of fish curry and sol kadi.

They also served us the jawala koshimbir which was so delectable. They serve rice and sol kadi in an unlimited quantity.

The best place to have a Sunday brunch with family. Going to visit again...
