I just saw the rating on Google and came here - coz I had a few hours to kill between Client meetings - plus needed a place for a working lunch. It's only on landing here that I realised - it's a vegan restaurant with many keto options too. This is a detailed review - coz I loved the place and I think with just a few pointers it can be perfect.
Ambience: 10/10 Wonderfully spacious, it exudes a calm - mainly due to its earthy exterior decor and oceanic interiors anchored with muted light fixtures.
Service: 8/10 Staff are very well-meaning and accomodative, but can be more attentive. We did not get the menu for a long time and sometimes had to desperately look around to grab their attention. Kudos to them though, for trying to modify a dish for my taste.
Food: Loved the Menu. It is straight out of Keto & Vegan Paradise. Was disappointed with their portions, though.
Cold Coffee: 10/10. Since it's a vegan restaurant - their milk is either almond or oat milk. So, please adjust your expectations accordingly, with respect to taste.
Open toast: I ordered the Two-Toastie - one with mushroom and the other with avocado. The mushroom masala was good, however, the avocado slices were too tangy with lemon, not to forget the sour cream at the base. Recommend to tone down the tanginess a bit. Was only disappointed with the size of the base bread - it's the smallest I've ever seen in open toasts.
Panner Tikka wrap: I ordered this for my father - however, the menu did not mention that it was a beetroot infused wrap. He was not too happy about it when it arrived. Not everyone would be familiar with this kind of cuisine - so maybe spell out the dish in a little more detail so guests can adjust their expectations accordingly.
Mezze Platter: I was really excited for this, as it was going to have 3 types of hummus - beetroot, walnut pesto and OG hummus. While individually, each hummus was great-tasting (I wouldn't mind the walnut pesto to be a little coarse so I can taste the walnuts - found it too pasty and without the crunch of walnuts, the intended taste did not come through). The disappointment in this dish was the pita bread. It was more of a focaccia cut into strips and sprinkled with olive oil and herbs (probably dried parsley). Instead of elevating the dish, it interfered with the pureness of the hummus as the herbs were too overpowering. I rushed through this dish to get to the waffles asap.
Black & Brown Waffle: Menu mentioned that it comes with maple syrup. My only request was that the staff bring it separately on the side and not with the syrup infused into the waffle. Somehow they misunderstood (there seems to be a language challenge) - and brought me chocolate chips on the side. I then asked for the maple syrup, which they said is discontinued and I can have honey instead - so I asked for honey. They failed to mention this earlier when I placed the order when I asked for the maple syrup separately. During billing I found that chocolate chips are an extra cost - when I never even asked for them. Nevertheless, I paid for it and moved on - as clearly there's a language barrier - I did inform the staff though.
Overall, the lovely ambience and friendly staff are a big green flag.
Areas for Improvement: • Menu descriptions could be more detailed, especially for unique items like the beetroot-infused wrap • Portion sizes generally run small • Communication regarding menu changes and add-ons...
Read moreEarth Café at Churchgate has a calm and cosy vibe once the crowd settles, but our visit had a mix of experiences. When we arrived, the café was quite crowded, and it took a while for us to place our order. It seemed like there were fewer staff members on duty that day, but despite that, the staff was polite and decent in their behaviour.
We tried two drinks. One was the Lychee flavour of Kultur Kombucha — it was okay, not too great, just average. The other drink was the Passion Fruit Lemongrass, which was honestly amazing. It was refreshing, light, and had a lovely, tangy-sweet flavour that we really enjoyed.
For food, we ordered the Alfredo Spaghetti Pasta. Before placing the order, the manager informed us that the pasta includes mushrooms. Since I don’t like mushrooms and my friend does, we asked them to reduce the quantity. They were kind enough to adjust it for us, which we appreciated. The pasta tasted good — creamy and nicely made — but it was served a bit cold, which was slightly disappointing. If it had been hot, the experience would’ve been much better.
We also tried the Peri Peri Porlmes Frites . They were crispy and well- quite good in taste and flavourful.
The atmosphere was a bit noisy at first due to a large group of friends sitting nearby who were quite loud and chatty. It didn’t feel as peaceful as we expected. But once that group left, the whole vibe of the café changed. It felt much more relaxed, minimal, and cosy — the kind of space you’d enjoy sitting in for a while.
Overall, Earth Café has its charm, especially with its clean look and relaxing atmosphere once it’s quiet. The drinks stood out more than the food in our experience. lys a nice spot to unwind if you're around Churchgate. And it's situated next to KC college.

Read moreIt’s a clean, spacious café with a warm and welcoming vibe. The earthy theme reflects beautifully in both the design and the hospitality, while still carrying a touch of modern comfort.
We were craving something light yet veggie-loaded, so we tried the Jamaican Burger, Rainbow Sandwich, and Falafel Wrap. Each dish was flavorful and satisfying — none of them missed the mark. The Rainbow Sandwich, in particular, was generously packed with vegetables, just as requested. The dips were served in adequate portions, unlike many places where they feel insufficient. The food was delicious, nicely presented (I was too busy indulging to take photos :p), and fairly priced — not the most pocket-friendly, but worth the spend and in line with industry standards. If they had more offers, I’d definitely find myself indulging here more often!
A special mention to Mr. Prashant and Mr. Dinesh, who were attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. They handled special requests and allergens with care, while also recommending dishes that perfectly suited our preferences. Their balance of professionalism and homely hospitality really stood out.
Since it was a weekday at a later hour, the café was peaceful and half-empty, making it even more enjoyable. We could simply walk in and were served promptly.
Overall, a wonderful experience — and there’s still a lot on the menu I’d love to come...
