Nara
Mumbai has a handful of restaurants dedicated to Thai Cuisine, Nara Thai is a specialty restaurant that provides a wide variety of thai and seafood dishes. Nara is located at the silicone valley of Bombay, Bandra Kurla complex.
Thailand is known for its beautiful beaches and tropical climate and due to the close proximity to India and similar culture, we Indians have developed an affinity to the country and its cuisine.
Representing a cuisine in India, especially in Bombay is not an easy task as we Mumbaikars are spoilt for choice, cause of the ever expanding restaurant scene. But once you have food at Nara you are sold to it for life. Every bite you take, gives you a sense of satisfaction that is measured to none. I have never been so lost for words when it comes to writing a review for a place I have visited. But you have to visit this place to understand what I mean when I say I'm lost for words! It's a food journey that cannot be compared to or written down in words.
Brought to India by the folks behind Yauatcha and Hakkasan, Nara Thai has eight branches in Bangkok and others in Singapore, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka. It's a brightly lit space with comfortable chairs, purple velvet couches and bevelled mirrors. Fancy but comfortable, ideal for family dinners or a date night.
Let's read what all I had and loved ?

Whenever I take my mom along with me and she loves the meal and raves about it to me and my brother, that moment is what I live for. When a mother loves something that her son made her eat thats when the son is the happiest. The food at Nara Thai made my mom smile in happiness and I could see her enjoying every bite of the entire meal.
Nara Thai has become my first choice for Thai food, it has the kind of authentic thai experience I can enjoy with my family and friends. The staff are pretty well trained to guide you through a food journey that you would not stop talking about for days.
Special mention to servers Surendra and Vishal for helping me in choosing what all I should have.

Being working in BKC for years, not once had I been to Nara. Never been a big fan of Thai food so this was never my first choice. But with a crunch of time and Nara being literally next door, happened to experience it... And what a life-changing experience it was!!!
AMBIANCE Outdoor seating is just gorgeous and the vibe is chill. Even for lunch, we got lucky with a pleasant weather. Little hangings in the outdoor area add to the charm and create an ambience. PA combination of couches, tables and high stools gives enough of options to choose based on your liking. Upholstery is quite upscale giving it a posh feel.
FOOD
✅ Tom Yum Soup Mildly spiced soup with loads of lemongrass and super soft tofu. I found the flavours of lemongrass to be overpowering. Overall it was decent.
❤️ Taohu Satay 12 pieces of marinated tofu arrived on 6 sticks alongside peanut sauce and vinegar-ed cucumber-onion dip. Marination of coconut & turmeric in bean-curd brings out mild & balanced flavours and is delicious. #MustHave
❤️Water Chestnut & Cashews (Phad Namprik Pao Haew Lae Med Mamunang) Who knew Singhala could turn out to be so tasty? Combination of water chestnut & cashews with Thai Sambal sauce was mind-blowing. If you can handle super spicy dishes, go for it. #yummy
❤️ Phad Thai Noodles Flat noodles in a sweet & tangy Tamarind sauce with a squeeze of lime, sprout beans, chilly flakes and peanuts on the side. I love the blend of sweet and spice and that's why it tops my chart! #SFFWrecommends
❤️ Green Thai Curry (Kang Kiew Warn) You can't go wrong with this one. I haven't been a fan of Thai curries but having it here has brought a shift in my choices. Mild taste of coconut milk, crunchiness of broccoli florets and succulent chunks of tofu made me fall in love. #MustHave
✅ Sticky Rice We called for a sticky rice to go with the Green Curry. A small portion came in a cane box. It was my first experience with sticky rice and it was decent.
The dessert options looked tempting but we were too full to order. That will probably have to wait until next time.
SERVICE Staff is courteous and very helpful when it comes to deciding on the dishes. You must come here with ample amount of time as service is quite slow. TBH the place is so relaxed and cosy, you won't feel like have a...
