So, for a very long time we wanted to try a different cuisine and we were always fond of Korean by watching the same on different pages, YouTube channels and Zomato etc., The spiciness of food, the ingredients that all tempted me. So we chose this restaurant which specifically provides authentic Korean food.
☀️ Sun and 🌙 Moon Korean Restaurant. So this restaurant is in Worli you can only reach here by taxi. You can take a 🚕 taci from Prabhadevi or Lower Parel or Mahalaxmi. This place is not for veg or vegan people a straight no for them. As at this place you can try or explore different animals.
So, talk about the cuisine it's very different from the Indian you won't find or you won't explore much spices in this cuisine. Although its rich of proteins and fibre. We did not explore much of the dishes in here as after 2 dish, I figured out that I won't be fond of it. I wanted to explore and I did. Talking about the ambience, so you will really feel like it's a Korean restaurant. The things around you, the walls everything.
Once we enter the restaurant the staff greeted us and we choose to sit on the first floor. The staff on the first floor I felt they were very much ignorant. We choose the table by ourselves no one guided us there and then for 5-7 minutes there was no one to attend us. No one gave us the 🍷 glass of 💦 water or even the menu for food. I asked them twice or thrice for the menu after that they gave us. Talking about pocket friendly- so the restaurant average dish is Rs. 700, most of the dishes are in the range of Rs. 1k-1.5k. In the menu we were only showing them what to eat as all the names were difficult to pronounce. And along with foods you will get sides as well to try, like fried caramaled peanuts, then few more.
Foods that we ordered : Tteokbokki : So this is something like a rice cake which is very heavy and you might fight it difficult to chew as well, shredded chicken and veggies you can find. The taste of gravy is sweet and spicy and you can totally feel both the taste seperately, sweet at first and then spicy at last. The spiceness I did not like as it was a blant taste like someone mixed lal mirchi in your food after cooking, so I did not enjoyed it much.
I do not remember the name of the dish but it's basically a sausage 🌭 covered with rice cake and then fried. There was no taste in it. To make it more tasty and to feel something I dipped it into sauce and eat it.
Further, there was one act which I cannot forget, as I told you the staff were ignorant so this incident proves it. So we ordered 3 dish out of which only 2 were brought on the table still 1 was left and we were waiting for it and when I asked the staff after it was late they both discussed with each other whether the same was ordered, so by reading their face I realised they did not order it till now to chef so I asked them to cancel it. When they bring the bill the 3rd dish name was there in the bill which I asked them to cancel and they did.
So overall, I will say if you really have love for Korean food then you can go here you will find authentic Korean food but recently I discovered that I was only tempted of the photo and not really...

Location: Upper Worli/Lower Parel Area
We wanted to try something different and we thought Korean cuisine would be a really unique experience especially for my parents who are exploring this cuisine for the first time in Mumbai.
Ambience/Facilities: Average. Simple decor. The only USP probably is the plywood shelves where KPop enthusiasts can doodle etc. They also have KPop music playing on TV. This I imagine is very appealing to people from the KPop fandom. Not very welcoming. We came across a couple who were fighting, where one of them even slammed the parcel on the table, and were shouting at each other. In my opinion the situation was not handled well by the staff and this was quite uncomfortable to other customers. Of course, a lot of situations are not in our hands, but in a restaurant customers comfort and safety is of utmost importance.
Food: We ordered Bibimbap and stir fried chicken. Though I liked the flavours of both the dishes but I have tasted better Korean food in my experience. In my opinion for the price we were paying the flavours were not refined enough, and the food didn't feel too hygienic as well. I also felt the quality of the ingredients were not upto par Bibimbap cost Rs 700 and the Stir Fried Chicken was Rs 1000. For that price we were expecting good presentation and quantity. My Mom found a hair in the stir fried chicken which she mentioned to me after the meal as she didn't want to spoil our evening out. I The quantity of the Bibimbap was very small and it gave a street food feel, rather than a wholesome traditional, authentic dish. We didn't feel we ate a proper full course meal. We didn't order more because the dishes were a let down.
Overall Thoughts: The owner of the restaurant was very hands on and is always there to answer any queries and give suggestions. But ultimately for me if I want to go a restaurant again my main criteria will always be Food v/s Value for Money. For me the food was not good enough to go again. I also feel that Sun and Moon portrays itself as an upper end restaurant by charging such high prices, but it doesn't justify that because the ambience and food is not that great. There was no valet parking, and the washroom was not so...
Read moreFor someone who watches as many Mukbangs as I do, visiting a Korean restaurant was inevitable. While Mumbai is known to be a Mecca for food, it doesn't have plenty of pure Korean restaurants. In such a situation, Sun and Moon is clearly a gem.
I highly recommend that you do not drive to this location. Parking is very difficult and the restaurant is located on a congested street right behind High Street Phoenix.
The dining area is quite interesting. You can choose to be seated in a private seating area or be seated in the regular section. A host will graciously take you to your seat. What sets this restaurant apart is a TV screen that plays K-Pop on loop. Another interesting thing is that you aren't provided a fork unless you ask - the restaurant encourages you to use chopsticks.
Once you place your order, you are brought 6 different side dishes that are on the house. You can add any of these to your dish to introduce a different texture and flavour.
We started with some good ole Tteokbokki. This starter has a slight sweetness to it and is chewy in a good way. You just keep eating one rice cake after another.
The beauty I was waiting for was the Fire Noodles. I have searched high and low for a vegetarian version of the fire noodle challenge and finally found it. While the noodles weren't nearly as spicy as I thought it would be, the heat does build up. The noodles were slightly undercooked, which is exactly how I like it.
As my restaurant buddies aren't fans of spicy food, we also ordered Jjajangmyeon. These black bean noodles weren't for me but, they loved it. The noodles were well cooked and the bean sauce was on the sweeter side.
Korean food is known to be predominantly non-vegetarian. So, it was such a pleasure that this place made a point to offer vegetarian versions of most of the dishes on its menu.
Service is amazing. The host and servers were very sweet and attentive. The cherry on top of the service was the owner of the restaurant. She actually makes a point of stopping by your table once you're done with your meal. She also gives you a small history about Korean culture and food. She takes photos with you and even escorts you to the exit while holding your hand. She's adorable and I'd stop by just...
