Bikanervala | Connaught Place — Restaurant in New Delhi

Timings: Although this outlet is at prime location of Connought Place they don't have fixed timings they open at. Even though it is mentioned they open at 10 am but their staff and cashier don't come for duty till 11 - 11:30 am. I have visited this outlet several times at 10 am and many times the manager has asked me to pay in cash since he doesn't know how to operate the card machine and his cashier will report at 11 or 11:30 am.

Food: Food is "okay". Their tea is absolutely horrible and from a machine. They use only 1 tea bag in a glass full of milk which tastes absolutely bad. Even at 10:30 you will not be able to order all the items on menu because the staff is not prepared. If you are lucky you can order a samosa with mint and tamarind base sauce which is okay to taste.

Staff: Staff is okay, the manager look like he is in a government job and usually doesn't care and staff follows his attitude. If you are lucky sometime they may be friendly and will listen to you.

Conclusion: Bikanerwala management should review this outlet and it's staff. Almost seems like we are entering a government office to get a favor without the FOIA facility.

The place is not easy to locate, as it is on the first floor. I believe they are renovating the restaurant space, and there are no signs to help find it. The staff is well-behaved, but the venue is very crowded, possibly due to the nearby offices. It’s a good option for lunch, but it could be better; anyone can visit the nearby Haldiram restaurant for a more satisfying experience.

The cleanliness of the place leaves something to be desired due to the high foot traffic. The handwashing and toilet facilities are located outside the restaurant, which is a plus, but unfortunately, the washrooms are not clean and have an unpleasant smell. The cleaning staff in the restaurant is diligent and active.

Common drinking facilities could be improved, as not everyone wants to spend extra money on drinking water after already paying 300-500 for a simple meal. The food quality also needs enhancement. I ordered chholey chawal, and while the chholey was tasty, some of the rice was dry, suggesting it had been left exposed and had become somewhat plasticky. Additionally, a salad could be added to...

One of the oldest Bikanerwala. Good space to eat. Agar aap vegetarian hai to aap yahan zaroor jaayen.

Pros. Big space to sit, you will find a place to sit here. Food quality is good here. Cons. Washroom is in bad condition always. You will always find some upcoming grooms and brides with there parents, a bit awkward for them. Place sometimes looks like a marriage venue

Below is my feedback for my last order here.

1.Tandoori Platter: The platter was average in taste. It has few pieces of paneer, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, shimla mirch and small roll of fried potato mixed with veggies. They serve 1 butter Naan with daal makhni(it was good) Hyderabadi chaap with naan: best dish they serve here. The gravy is awesome and chaap was soft. Gulaab jamun was hot and awesome. Malai roll is a must try. Sandwich Mithai was so so. Coffee was also ok ok, will wake you up.

Overall a good experience if you are in cp and have money in your pocket, just go there and enjoy some...
