Very dissatisfied in my 2nd visit. I ordered a chocolate hazelnut croissant and a mocha asking for dark chocolate and the server who looked so disinterested repeated my order back to me but I barely could hear him. When I get my seat upstairs and the order arrives I receive a dark chocolate cruffin and a chocolate hazelnut croissant. I make the upstairs server aware that this is nor what I ordered and at this point I see it as a simple mistake and easily rectified. Instead the original server takes the time to come upstairs and tell me that he heard me tell him that I ordered the cruffin (basically making me feel as if I lied to him) and I told him back that when he had repeated my order back to him that I heard him say dark chocolate mocha ( as I thought they might offer this as an option) He walked away scornful and then I was there a further 20 minuteso waiting for the mocha and had to twice ask what the delay was. This service is unacceptable as such a shame as I have had delightful experiences at all their other chains
Edit: after reaching out to me, Gaurav- the manager showed me exactly why I loved this place the first time I went. Service was impeccably and I am assured that the staff will be undergoing additional training to ensure that these circumstances won't occur again. Croissant and coffee were outstanding 👌 Thank you Gaurav you are doing a wonderful job
Ps . Special mention to Deepanshu who serves upstairs and always has a smile on his face to make you feel welcoming and obviously cares about the...
Read moreI recently visited the Blue Tokai Cafe in Connaught Place, Delhi, and spent a good three hours there and honestly, I could’ve stayed even longer. The cafe had a calm, cozy vibe that made it the perfect spot to relax, read, or just enjoy some quality coffee time. It was surprisingly quiet for a cafe in such a busy part of the city, which made the whole experience even better. I tried their Vietnamese cold coffee, and it was excellent strong, slightly sweet, and refreshing, just the way it should be. You can tell they take their coffee seriously here. I also ordered a dish (unfortunately forgot the name), but it was delicious and freshly prepared. The food quality matched the high standards of their coffee. What really stood out for me, though, was the ambiance. The interiors are modern but warm, with just the right amount of natural light. It’s the kind of space that invites you to slow down. Whether you’re catching up on work, meeting a friend, or just enjoying your own company, it works perfectly. The staff were polite, welcoming, and efficient always around but never intrusive. It really adds to the experience when the service feels genuine and not forced. Overall, I had a great time at Blue Tokai CP and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good coffee spot in central Delhi. Whether you're a coffee lover or just looking for a peaceful corner to unwind, this place ticks...
Read moreI drink a lot of speciality/single origin coffee. I grind my own beans, and make my own pour overs on a daily basis at home, and I have tried coffee from all parts of the globe, and all types of process in numerous coffee shops around the world. I wasn't a fan of the pour overs here. The process was supposed to be washed and the roast, light, with tea and floral like quality's, but it really had the taste of a natural process to me, full bodied, overly fermented and fruit driven with no delicate floral or tea like notes that I could discern. Not that I don't like natural coffees, but in my opinion, when you order a washed coffee, you want it to taste like one, not a natural coffee. It would be like ordering white wine and being happy that it tasted like red. It is labelled as their 'roasters choice', and commended for the unusual taste for a washed coffee. I ordered a second cup of their anaerobic washed, just so my review wasn't biased. The second cup was definitely better, but just ok. This one expressed more of the qualities it should have for the advertised process. Having just arrived in Delhi from Indonesia where the coffee is exquisite, the difference was palpable. Maybe their other coffees are better, I didn't try them all. Anyway, a shame as I had high hopes for the place. The cafe itself is OK. Nice enough ambience. The service was also not good. Took over 15 minutes to...
