WORM IN THE FOOD!
Café Sandoz has built a strong reputation over the years for its quality service and delectable dishes. However, during my visit on 5th April at the Connaught Place outlet where I ordered grilled fish in lemon butter sauce, I was shocked to discover a big worm in my meal. I have attached a picture for the reference. Meanwhile, I discovered the worm I had eaten almost half of the meal.
This raises concerns about the food safety standards at Café Sandoz CP. I am deeply worried about the potential health risks and wonder who would be held accountable if I were to fall ill from consuming this meal.
I recently dined at Sandoz cafe and unfortunately encountered a distressing situation. Upon ordering the grilled fish in lemon butter sauce.I was horrified to find a big worm in my meal. Despite voicing my concern to the manager Mr Shivam Shishodia met with the explanation that the broccoli might not have been washed properly. Regrettably, I was already feeling unwell after consuming half of my meal before noticing the foreign object.During the conversation, the waiter removed the plate. Despite my request to return it, the plate was taken to the kitchen and they refused to give it back, likely to prevent me from raising the issue.
The general manager, Mr. Lalit Tamta tried to ease my concerns by mentioning that incidents like these are very common even in five-star hotels. He attempted to intimidate me, warning against posting it on social media, not because they couldn't manage it, but because it would be futile for me.He also pointed out that they had already waived the bill as compensation. However, I find it concerning that waiving the bill is seen as adequate resolution for such a serious lapse in food safety.
Simply removing the charge does not fully address the potential health risks and discomfort experienced by the customer. This incident has left me feeling unwell for the entire day and I suffered from severe stomach pain and felt nauseous. When we tried to contact Lalit again, he denied any knowledge of the issue and blocked my contact details.
I am deeply concerned about the potential health implications of consuming contaminated food.I believe it is imperative for the restaurant to take responsibility for ensuring the quality and safety of the food they serve.
I hope that appropriate measures will be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future, as the health and well-being of customers should always be a...

Read moreLast Saturday, I decided to visit a cafe for a healthy lunch. I had some work in Block M, so I googled healthy meal options in the area, and Cafe Sandoz came up. When I arrived, Maheen, the receptionist, told me there would be a 5-10 minute wait. I ended up waiting for about 15 minutes.
During this time, a staff member came out and asked how many people were in line. Maheen informed him that there were four people in one group and two others, including myself. To my surprise, they seated the two-person group first, followed by the group of four who arrived after me.
I approached the staff member and asked when I could be seated, as I had already picked my meal from the menu displayed at the entrance. He explained that while there were tables available for four and two people, I would have to wait until another table opened up. When I pointed out that they had just seated a group of two who arrived later than I did, he simply responded, "It's your choice," as if my waiting further was optional.
Frustrated by the lack of service and the dismissive attitude, I decided to leave. I walked a bit further to Cafe Warehouse, where I know the menu by heart. Despite the busy afternoon crowd, they had plenty of space and provided a much better experience. I enjoyed a good meal there.
Reaffirming that it's always worth going to a place that values its customers. CAFE SANDOZ should learn this.
Its mandatory to give a star or else I would have refrained from giving any stars to...
