Nestled in the lively hustle of Janpath Market, Gokulam South Indian Restaurant is a beacon for South Indian cuisine lovers in Delhi. From the moment you step in, the restaurant exudes a warm, inviting ambiance that feels both cozy and refined—making it the perfect spot whether you're grabbing a quick breakfast or enjoying a relaxed meal with friends. The highlight here is undoubtedly their thali: a beautifully curated spread of flavors and textures that brings diversity and delight in every bite. Each item—from crisp vadai to soft, buttery curries—sits elegantly arranged on a traditional stainless-steel platter, offering both authenticity and visual appeal. It's as much a feast for the eyes as for the palate. Their idli deserves a special mention. Fluffy, light, and steamed to perfection, each piece is a testament to the care and attention devoted in the kitchen. Served with side dips that are vibrantly fresh, the idlis are simply among the best in the area. Coffee enthusiasts will appreciate their filter coffee—rich, aromatic, and served in classic tumbler-dabara style. It’s strong without overpowering, offering just the right jolt to complement a hearty breakfast or a post-meal wind-down. Presentation here is truly top-notch. Every dish arrives impeccably plated—garnished with thoughtful detail, cleanly arranged, and pleasing to the eye. This aesthetic sensibility elevates the entire dining experience. All in all, Gokulam at Janpath is a gem for South Indian cuisine in Delhi: simple yet elegant, flavorful yet balanced. A must-visit for anyone craving well-crafted idlis, an artfully presented thali, and soul-soothing filter coffee.

Located in the bustling lanes of Janpath, Connaught Place, Gokulam offers an authentic taste of Karnataka cuisine. The ambiance is simple yet welcoming, perfect for a casual meal with family or friends. During our visit, we tried the Thatte Idli, Upma, Pongal, and Ragi Roti, each dish reflecting the rich culinary traditions of Karnataka. The **Thatte Idli** was a highlight—soft, fluffy, and perfectly complemented by the coconut chutney and sambar. It’s larger than your typical idli and has a satisfying texture that leaves you wanting more. The **Upma** was equally delightful, with the right balance of spices and a comforting homely feel. It was light, yet flavorful, making it an excellent choice for breakfast or a light snack. The **Pongal** was a true comfort food experience—creamy, mildly spiced, and topped with a generous serving of ghee and cashews. It had a melt-in-your-mouth texture that was simply irresistible. The **Ragi Roti** was a healthy yet delicious option, served with a side of vegetable curry that added a burst of flavors. The roti was perfectly cooked, maintaining its softness while offering a slight crunch on the edges. Overall, Gokulam is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Karnataka flavors in the heart of Delhi. The food is delicious, the service is quick, and the prices are reasonable, making it a great spot for a fulfilling meal.

I visited Gokulam, CP today and had a really nice experience 🌸. Since I was dining alone 👤, I ordered a Mysore Masala Dosa 🥞 and Special Filter Coffee ☕. While waiting ⏳, the staff (Ms. Himanshi) offered a complimentary Muddur Vada 🥠 with Coconut Chutney 🥥, which was such a thoughtful gesture 🤗. It was crisp, flavourful 😋, and paired perfectly with the chutney—I happily finished it before my dosa arrived. The Mysore Masala Dosa 🥞 was slightly different from what you usually get at other places—it takes a couple of bites 👌 for the flavors to really develop on the palate, but once it does, it feels wholesome and filling 🍴. The dosa was nicely crisp yet thick enough to be satisfying ✅, and the sambar 🍲 was delicious. The highlight for me was definitely their filter coffee ☕✨, rich and aromatic—just the perfect finish to the meal. Overall, a warm and hearty South Indian food 🇮🇳 experience in the heart of CP 🏙️. Definitely worth trying if you enjoy authentic flavors 🌿. 🌟 Also, a special mention to Ms. Himanshi 🙋‍♀️—she was extremely attentive and courteous. From checking if customers needed refills 🥤, to updating about the order status ⏳, she made sure everything felt smooth and well taken care of. Truly adds warmth to the overall dining experience 🤝✨.

I recently dined at Gokulam Restaurant in Connaught Place, Delhi, and it was a delightful experience, especially for those who enjoy South Indian cuisine. The restaurant is conveniently located in the heart of the city, making it easy to find amidst the busy lanes of Connaught Place.

Ambiance: The ambiance of Gokulam is warm and welcoming. The decor is simple yet tasteful, with a focus on cleanliness and comfort. It offers a traditional South Indian vibe, which complements the cuisine served. The seating arrangement is spacious enough for both small groups and families. It’s the kind of place where you can have a relaxed meal without feeling rushed.

Food: The highlight of the experience, of course, was the food. Gokulam serves authentic South Indian dishes that are flavorful and made with fresh ingredients. We tried the Masala Dosa, which was perfectly crispy and had just the right amount of filling. The idlis were soft, and the accompanying chutneys (especially the coconut chutney) were fresh and delicious. The Sambar had a nice balance of spices, neither too mild nor too spicy, making it a great complement to the dishes.

For those who enjoy a good South Indian thali, Gokulam does not disappoint. The variety of items in the thali, including rice, curries, rasam, and dessert, gave a complete taste of South Indian flavors. The portion sizes are generous, ensuring that you leave the restaurant fully satisfied.

The restaurant also offers a range of North Indian and vegetarian dishes, so there’s something for everyone. Their filter coffee was an excellent finish to the meal, giving the authentic South Indian coffee experience.

Service: The service at Gokulam was efficient and courteous. The staff was attentive and ensured that our needs were met without being intrusive. The food arrived promptly, and the servers were knowledgeable about the menu, making recommendations when needed. It’s clear that they value customer satisfaction and go the extra mile to ensure a pleasant dining experience.

Value for Money: Gokulam offers great value for money. The prices are reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food served. For those who love authentic South Indian flavors, this place is a steal compared to other more expensive options in Connaught Place.

Location: Situated in the bustling Connaught Place, Gokulam is easy to access, and its central location makes it a great option for anyone in the area. After a long day of shopping or exploring Delhi, this is the perfect spot to enjoy a wholesome and satisfying meal.

Overall: Gokulam Restaurant in Connaught Place is a must-visit for South Indian food lovers. The authentic flavors, friendly service, and reasonable prices make it stand out among other eateries in the area. Whether you’re craving a crispy dosa or a full South Indian thali, Gokulam will leave you with a memorable dining experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a casual yet delicious meal in the...
