McDonald's — Restaurant in New Delhi

My kids were craving something familiar so I was excited to find McDonald’s. My daughters, ages 5 and 7, walked in and stood in line, really looking forward to trying McDonald’s in India. Then my 5 year old needed to use the bathroom.

There were only two very small bathroom stalls, one for males and one for females, sharing a tiny sink with no soap, which was really unpleasant. When I went into the female stall, I saw that the toilet had no seat cover. Because of that, I had to take my little girl to the male bathroom since it had a seat cover. Right away I felt disgusted, but since my kids were so excited, I stayed and went down with them to order.

While we were waiting in line, a group of people cut right in front of my daughters and me. The cashier saw it but did not say anything. Since it was just me with my girls, I did not want to cause a scene.

When it was finally our turn, my 5 year old wanted the kids meal with chicken nuggets and a bobaaa blast drink. I told the cashier I would pay extra for the drink but wanted her to have Fanta with the kids meal. After seeing the bathroom situation, I asked for no ice in their drinks because I did not want my girls to get sick. I also asked for ketchup.

My 7 year old ordered a chicken burger with the same drink. I chose the filet o fish with the mango ras drink and also requested ketchup. We were told to go upstairs and that the food would be brought to us.

We found a table, but the lady nearby did not clean it before we sat down. When the food arrived, there was no ketchup or Fanta. The kids were happy to eat, but as a mom, I kept thinking about how poorly maintained this place must be based on the state of the bathrooms.

Overall I can only give this place one star for hygiene...

I visited this outlet few months ago. The staff was not at all courteous. It was crowded and packed. The place is very small and seating area is on the first floor. I had a flight to catch so asked one the staff if there is place available upstairs so I can sit and eat quickly, he said you have to go and check sir. It was least I could expect from them, is to tell me if there’s a table available or if it’s not I could just sit in my car and take away the food rather than standing and eating holding tray with one hand how uncomfortable and inconvenient it was. The AC wasn’t working properly may be because it was crowded and it was humid. I was sweating. I asked for extra paper napkins so they gave me 2. Why do the restaurants behave so cheap when asked for extra ketchup or paper napkins? Don’t they calculate the cost of these in their profit margins? One tray mat costs less than a rupee which is made of 70/80 GSM paper and food grade ink. The french fries cartons cost not more than ₹2. I have don’t the math. The amount they charge for burger, fries and a drink is anywhere between ₹250-300 approx. Least they can offer some extra tissues and sachets without having that sad look on their face. Or why don’t they charge us ₹10 extra & then give us as many sachets as we want and tissue paper napkins. 2 sachets for medium fries and a burger is less and without a ketchup it becomes difficult to digest because it becomes too dry. There is a reason we are asking for this, it’s not we have to open a shop of this. Also the cleanliness & upkeep of the place was very very bad. I really don’t know what managers and area...

•I have been to multiple McDonald's but this one(McDonald's Regal Building,Next to Shree Leathers) specifically is the worst. It is located on ground floor and even have seating on upper level as well. Staff here is extremely slow in working. I had ordered 2 cold coffees via Qr scanner to avoid hassle of que but still they didn't give my order. I had to go to counter to show my order Id and still they took another 10 minutes to prepare just cold coffees. They don't even maintain que system here because of which people keep standing at order counters which makes its crowded and mess.

•Coming to hygiene & seating space- No adequate gap between seats and all the seats have been placed too close to each other.They need to change there seating plan immediately to maintain gap and ventilation as well. •Hygiene is also not upto the mark, the coke was spilled on the floor and same goes for food also. The staff is not quick to clean the tables also.

They seriously need to pay immediate attention to their standards.There should be a separate counter for orders placed via Qr scan code because what's the point of again waiting for so long even after paying and ordering in advanced.The Qr code is for convenience of customers to skip the Que and order quickly and avoid hassle of lines. Lastly they staff should be more quick instead of being too slow. I never expected this from...
