Though initially the seating was comfortable after a few minutes it was painful. Some of it could have been simple bench types or with some pillow

The Barista is very good at what he does, poor chap is tied to just 1 Roast and the coffee is very average, over roasted for black. It would be nicer to have some good medium/light roasts for easy drinking - as this is a Cafe

Oh - that music being played is so pathetic and the equipment could be better

NO WIFI - it's shocking and sad that they don't have a working WiFi (2022) and it feels very silly. Can't work from here if the WiFi isn't available

The toilet was pathetic, pl clean your toilets, it's a very good toilet, well made and spacious, pl maintain it well. Overall it's a awesome place, that can perform better with more comfy seating and some healthy additions to the menu.

The people are super good, and they understand this being a laid back cafe, and serve freshly cooked food. They take their time to serve, and their food is yummy good. !!

Honey chicken wings was a personal favourite which is also a must try item from their menu list. It was really value for money item to taste. BBQ chicken Burger was also good and tasty while compared with KFC burgers these are really good. Mac and cheese pasta was good but we missed to put toppings so it was simple and normal. If you order pasta items please try to put toppings. Hazelnut smoothie was good but too expensive. Ordered medium quantity but the price is too high for that quantity. Ambience and their customer service was really nice. They also have good seat capacity where you can bring 5-10 persons. They also kept many books there to read while eating. I had just half a day in Pondicherry before heading back to my city and stumbled upon Writer’s Café. I found a cozy spot and ordered a cold coffee. I let the team know that I had some baggage and quite a bit of time on hand — and that I’d love to step out for a walk and return later. They couldn’t have been more accommodating.

Farid kindly arranged a safe spot for my laptop bag, and I headed out for nearly two hours of street shopping. When I returned, they welcomed me back warmly, got me a seat right away, offered water, and gave me the space to unwind and order at my own pace.

I honestly didn’t expect it to be this easy to find a temporary spot to relax in Pondicherry. A big thank-you to Raj, Jana, and Farid for going the extra mile and making me feel completely at ease. I’m really grateful — you made my short visit so much more comfortable...
