Total Waste of Money and Time.

Honestly, don't bother with this place. We waited 20 minutes for a table, which is fine, but the second we sat down, it all went sideways. We scanned the menu only to find out they had ZERO chicken or mutton starters—just fish. Seriously? We ordered a prawns fry and told the waiter we'd order the thali when our friend got back from parking. Then the manager (or some random dude) comes over like we're wasting his time. He goes, "It's been 10 minutes, how much longer for your friend? You need to order your food now." We told him we already ordered the starters, and he just kept pushing, saying, "Preparing the thali takes time, so be quick." He was so incredibly rude, clearly just rushing us out.

The service was a joke, too. Staff were spilling things while serving, and the waiter was practically stalking us, constantly asking, "Anything else? Should I bring the bill?" We hadn't even finished half our plates! They were just desperate to flip the table. The Food? Below Average Trash.

I can handle bad service if the food is great, but the ₹540 + GST thali was honestly the worst I've ever tasted in Pune. We've hit up about 13 mutton thali spots, and this one is dead last. Pandhra Rassa (1/10): Tasted like water no meaty, nutty flavour. Cold, zero flavor. Thambda Rassa (1/10): Bland. Literally had no salt in it. Mutton Gravy (4/10): The mutton was cooked well, I'll give them that, but the gravy itself was pathetically small. Indrayani Rice: They served it on two different-sized plates! For two different tables. Kheema (0/10): A joke. Watery, tasted only of onions, and I swear there was barely any meat. Sol Kadi 0/10: these guys have not tasted real Sol Kadi ever in their life. Sol Kadi here was just contaminated pink coloured water.

Overall Thali Score: 4/10. Don't fall for it. Seriously a complete rip-off.

If You Want a REAL Mutton Thali, Go Here: They are actually worth your money (my personal ranking): Dehaati Maratha Canteen Hotel Jagdamb Sainath...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at here and I must say it was an experience worth every bit of praise. As someone who is very particular about non-veg cuisine, especially fish, I was thrilled by their offerings. The non-veg thali, particularly the fish thali, is a culinary masterpiece that showcases the rich flavors and traditional cooking techniques of the region.

The fish thali is a delightful feast that includes perfectly cooked fish, tender and flavorful, accompanied by a variety of side dishes that complement the main course. Each element on the thali was distinct and delicious, from the spicy and tangy fish curry to the subtly flavored dal, and the assortment of pickles and chutneys added an extra zing to the meal. The rice was light and fluffy, the chapatis soft and warm, and every bite felt like a celebration of authentic, home-style cooking.

But what truly elevated the dining experience was the exceptional service. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring that all our needs were met without being intrusive. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations based on our preferences. The service was prompt, and the food was served hot, which is something I greatly appreciate.

The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal with family or friends. The attention to detail in both the food presentation and the overall dining experience was commendable. It’s clear that the team at [Restaurant Name] takes great pride in what they do, and it reflects in the quality of the food and service.

I would highly recommend deewan khana to anyone looking for an authentic and satisfying non-veg or fish thali experience. It’s a place where you can enjoy a hearty meal that’s not just delicious but also made with care and served with warmth. I’m already looking forward to my...

Deewan Khana, located on Apte Road in Pune, is renowned for its authentic Maharashtrian cuisine, particularly its non-vegetarian thalis. The Chicken Thali stands out as a highlight, offering a rich and flavorful dining experience.

Components of the Chicken Thali: • Chicken Solapuri Rassa: A spicy and aromatic chicken curry that has received high praise from patrons. • Chicken Sukka/Masala: Dry, spiced chicken preparation known for its depth of flavor. • Tambda and Pandhra Rassa: Traditional Maharashtrian broths—red and white gravies—served unlimited, enhancing the overall meal. • Chicken Loncha: A unique chicken pickle that adds a tangy and spicy kick to the thali. • Indrayani Rice or Biryani: Diners can choose between the fragrant local rice variety or a flavorful biryani, both complementing the curries well. • Accompaniments: The thali also includes solkadhi (a refreshing coconut and kokum drink), chapatis or bhakris (traditional flatbreads), and dahi kanda (yogurt with onions).

Ambiance and Service:

The restaurant boasts a traditional and cozy ambiance, reflecting Maharashtrian culture. The staff is noted for their prompt and courteous service, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Ample parking space is available for both two-wheelers and four-wheelers, adding to the convenience.

Pricing:

While the Chicken Thali is priced on the higher side, many diners feel that the quality and quantity justify the cost. The Special Chicken Thali, which offers additional items like biryani, is also available for those seeking a more elaborate meal.

Overall Impression:

Deewan Khana’s Chicken Thali offers a comprehensive and satisfying taste of Maharashtrian cuisine. The variety of dishes, coupled with the authentic flavors and attentive service, make it a must-try for both locals and...
