Had visited this place yesterday night with a couple of friends who were visiting Pune after a long time and so we were looking for a place which was lively but still quiet enough so that we could chit chat. As it was a weekday the place was mostly empty and we decided to take advantage of the extended Smily hours and zomato Gold 2+2 along with the low footfall. The ambiance is based on Archie's theme and is quite alive with those peppy clour dining booths along with those retro posters all across the room. The staff was quite great too, we were served by Nakul, he Was really good with suggestions and was prompt in service. We ordered: Jalapeno poppers - They were super cheesy and yum! served in a tin box along with garlic Mayo. Honestly, these were the best Jalapeno Poppers which I have tasted recently. They were so good that we repeated them. Onion rings - Crispy onion rings served as a stack along with mint chutney, they tasted great with beer. Baked cheese n Chili Wedges- These wedges were baked to perfection and were loaded with cheese and the finely sliced chiles gave a good amount of heat. Mexicali - I liked the pasta it was cooked to perfection(penne), quite creamy and loaded with flavors. The Ranchero sauce was flavourful and gave a greate pale pinkies clour to the entire dish which made the dish quite visually appetizing.
Drinks: Barmans Mocktail: This mocktail had guava, grape, lime juices but guava flavor was overpowering the others so didn't like it as much. But still was ok. Lime Soda & Lime water ( Zomato Gold 2+2) Carlsberg beer ( Extended Smily hour 3+1) Captian Morgan ( Zomato Gold 2+2)
Complementary: chocolate mousse had a lighter texture was quite creamy and sweetened to perfection. A good sweet note to close dinner, enjoyed it.
Ambiance: 4.5 Food: 4.5 Service: 5
Overall my food experience was great, the quality and quantity of the food are good and prices justify it. If you are visiting here with a kid try there Kiddies Platter. Will definitely try to visit this place in future to taste other option...

Visited on Sunday Evening for late night dinner around 10.30 PM. I had booked a table via an online app, which was straightaway denied by the waiter. However, he took my name and told us to wait for another 10-15 mins. We came back after 20 mins and enquired, we were told to wait for another 15 mins. My kid was getting restless and after 15 mins, we finally got to the table after a few follow ups.
The ambiance is like a Hard Rock cafe and live IPL screening all over the place. We gave our order in 10 minutes and another waiter came after 15 mins to take the order again. The food arrived after 30-45 mins. We had the following items:
Chicken Makhani (in Curries and Bowl) - Traditional Chicken curry not butter chicken which I had expected served with one Lachha paratha and Lots of Rice. The chicken was well cooked and delicious. But I had expected Butter chicken. Lachha Paratha was a waste and no were close to lachha. The rice was good but there was no coriander as written in the menu. It was served with onion and achaar dripping over it. The salad and pickle should be served separately. Not all people have pickles with chicken.
Paneer Shashlik Sizzler -
The paneer was well cooked and good and served with rice, fried veggies, french fries and Capsicum with mashed onions. The fried veggies were not cooked properly, the capscum was raw, we could not eat it. IT looked like it was made in a hurry.
Kiddies Platter - THis was the best dish for kids, It had pasta, garlic bread, french fries, chicken nuggets and also a small toy car. A small ice cream shake was served with the food.
They agreed to make the payment via online app but no discounts were offered. As it was already around 12, we paid and left.
The pricing is on the higher side but the portion offered is good. They need to improve the service and pay attention to the customers. Also, they need to deny the table bookings to online...
Read moreVisited last Friday n had a good time! Pop Tate's has been around for quite some time in India and the last time I visited them ( Powai outlet ) was possibly 15 years ago! Yup it's an established brand. The good part is...the food tastes the same ( yes I do remember the taste :) )...
Now coming to this specific visit.
Location : Thankfully it is not situated in the food court but on the floor above so that cuts out most of the crowd.
Service : Spot on! Well behaved and courteous....very happy with the way we were treated all throughout our meal time. Good food n drink suggestions too.
What we ordered : **Cocktails Jalisco Mary - we ordered it by the description in the menu and unfortunately did not enjoy it.
61 West - recommended by our attendant...Loved it! It is a Bourbon based drink. I had requested for a less sweet version...n that's how I got it... :) We repeated this cocktail
**Appetizers Loaded Nachos - in one word...yumm! Must eat.... Haven't had such yummy nachos in a while....
**Sizzlers ( Main course)
Greek chicken sizzler (mexi rice)- fries, sauted veggies, chicken steak, mashed potatoes, stuffed capsicum...the entire deal. Served crackling hot! Was good. But possibly not the best option in the menu. I'd recommend to pick something else, which may probably taste better.
Grilled paneer with mexi rice - served with similar sides as above....the texture n softness of the paneer was amazing! It actually tasted like home made paneer.... Rest of the stuff again was good but not the best. If you are a vegetarian, do pick up a paneer sizzler but go for another option as this was definitely not their best paneer option in the menu.
What I did not like : Enormous quantity of the sizzler. Was soo full that had no choice but to waste some half heartedly. If there were size options like a medium n a large , that would surely be a welcome change for...
