I think Zomato can start a separate section for Misal now, looking at the food joints we have for Misal in Pune. During Ganapati Darshan came across this place as my Favourite Shrikrushna Misal was overflowing with people waiting in a queue.
I have heard about this place and too my surprise the misal was good and taste was very close to what Shrikrishna Misal offers.
Food: 5/5 Misal- Something different, not so spicy but still very tasty. You can easily remember the taste of it in the crowd of similarly tasting misals we have. Rassa was full of grated coconut, onion etc. Sheera- Devine taste. Different and unforgettable.
Ambience: 3/5 No nonsense setup. Arrangement was such that service doesn't get's hampered.
Service: 5/5 Polite and fast. Table arrangement facilitates easy and fast movement of waiters and hence you get what you want the fastest way.
VFM: 4/5 Misal has reached a standard price across the city. So can't complain there. Sheera felt little overpriced but still taste made me...
Read moreThe food provided here is of good quality. They maintain proper hygiene. But the taste is not up to the mark as I have heard about this place just hiped alot. I would say It is a bit costly. In misal paon they provide sliced bread not the typical paon that is served in Maharashtrian paon dishes. But that's quite good. The misal was less spicy i.e very less than expected. It costs 70/- with two bread slices. Extra slices costs 5. Sabudana khichdi served here is really good, they charge 50/- for the same. It is actually named as Shree uphar. There is road side parking lot for this restaurant. It is not exactly a restaurant it is kind of a small outlet with two to three tables with bench and a counter. Whenever I will visit the Dagduseth Halwai Ganesh Temple I will go there for sabudana khichdi specially. They open in the morning at around 9 and close at around 4-5 pm. So make sure you go in between that. Actually I have seen people serve very thin gravy as misal in most of places but here...
Read moreThis is a place much hyped when you are in pune and trying out Puneri misal is on your list. The Misal here is served with two slices of bread which is pretty unsual since misal tastes the best with pav. The cost of a plate is 70 rs. which is what all popular outlets there in pune charge. 2 extra slices of bread costed me Rs.10 extra.
The misal here in pune has a slightly sweet in taste. which is exactly opposite to one in Kolhapur the spiciest served.
What you can expect in misal is poha , small bits of potato, sprouts. and farsan.
The misal served hot is great at taste. Also you can ask the guy to make the misal spicy according to your spice appetite.
Though the misal at shree uphar gruh had been spiced appropriately.
I think the pictures uploaded will help you get an insight of the misal i am...
