The Great Indian Khau Gully — Restaurant in Pune

The Great Indian Khau Gully is a multi-cuisine food mall located in Taboot Street in Camp. They have brought 10 different restaurants under one roof. Interiors are decent and spacious with AC and Non-AC seating area. The fairy lights adds a beautiful touch to the area.

We visited here for lunch and tried variety of beverages, vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.

So, here is the details of what I had and from which restaurant:

KHANSAMA REHMAN

They serve authentic Awadhi Cuisine especially curated by chef Rehman. We tried variety of kebab and tikka from this place.

Mutton Galouti Kebab: Minced mutton kebab made with spices and served with paratha, mint chutney and onion slices. The kebabs were tender and was melting in mouth.

Mutton Chappli Kebab: It tasted similar to that of galouti kebab, but they were more flatter in shape and was flavourful.

Murgh Banjara Kebab: Kebabs were flavorful and delicious and tasted even better with mint chutney and lemon. #recommended

Murgh Makhmali Tikka: Boneless chicken chunks marinated in cream and yoghurt and flavoured with mild spices. It was little sweet for my taste and I didn't like it much.

Dahi Kebab: Dahi kebab topped with chutneys, pomegranate and served with sweet chutney. It wasn't crispy from outside and they were not soft as they should be.

Chicken Biryani: Biryani was delicious and was served with raita. Chicken & rice was cooked nicely and the flavours was on point. #recommended

WONG'S KITCHEN

Wong's Kitchen serves delicious street style Indo-Chinese food. We tried Kung Pao Chicken and Paneer Chilli Dry from this place.

Kung Pao Chicken: This stir-fried dish was made of chicken chunks, bell pepper, garlic, spring onions and peanuts. Chicken was cooked nicely and the sauce was delicious. It's a must try appetizers from this place. #recommended

Paneer Chilli Dry: Fresh paneer sauteed with bell peppers, onion and sauces. It was yummy.

DEGCHI'S BIRYANI CAFE & BOHRI CUISINE

Degchi's specializes in biryani and bohri cuisine. We tried:

Chicken Russian Kebab: These delicious kebabs made from shredded chicken, potato, veggies, spices and coated with vermicelli and fried. It was crispy from the outside and moist from inside. #recommended

Cheese Balls: They were crispy from the outside, but the amount of cheese was very less in cheese balls.

UDUPI HOUSE

Udupi house serves variety of uttapam and dosa. It's a good option for dosa lovers. We tried Garlic Roast Dosa. It was crispy, topped with fried garlic and shredded carrot. It was served with sambar, tomato and coconut chutney.

HAJI JUICE AND BITES

They serve variety of fresh juice, milkshake, smoothie and falooda. We tried Strawberry juice, Mix Berry Juice and Avocado juice. All the juices were fresh and refreshing.

I finished my meal with Royal Falooda. It consists of rose syrup, vermicelli, basil seeds mixed with milk and topped with ice-cream. It was yummy.

The great Indian khau gully located in the bustling streets of camp is surely a newbie willing to win all your hearts from their elaborate menu servings dishes of day different types.So the restaurant itself has different counters which will be mentioned below along with the dishes we tried at each counter. 1)Haji juice:- Mix Berry milkshake(3/5) Sitaphal milkshake(5/5) Avacado shake(3/5) Kiwi watermelon(4/5) Choco banana(4/5) Recommended one here is the sitaphal milkshake which thick enough and tasted really well.Kiwi watermelon was good to quite refreshing I must say. The haji juice centre also had a mix fruit bottle which looked quite fancy,so one can buy it and eat it on their way home too. 2)Udupi restaurant Sixer Dosa This was a giant dish which can be shared by many people.It was so good looking and completely worth it's price.Their were six differently stuffed dosa served with chutney and sambar.Make sure you eat it when served hot.Overall exceptional dish. Medu wada A regular dish that tasted well. Pineapple sheera Wow I mean who can not like this one?I am all for pineapple sheera.Freshly prepared sheera containing slices of pineapple in it.#recommended. 3)Degchi restaurant Chicken Bora Thaal This one is their recommended dish that one must definitely try.Prepared in bohri style this chicken Thaal is for 2-3 people including gajar ka halwa and one more dessert. Cheese balls The cheese balls were quite decent as well. 4)Cafe Nawruz by Mona Here you can try their non veg dishes more with a mughlai feel added to it. Mutton galauti kebab(4/5) The galauti kebab were soft and tasted well I must say the addition of naan and pudina chutney made it a good combination. Murgh parche(5/5) A dish one should definitely go for Murgh Banjara tikka(4/5) This one had a green marination to it and a tandoor flavour to the pieces as well. Paneer pasanda(5/5) This is another dish I will root for.The paneer was drop dead soft and my God the chutney wasn't a regular one but thinner and on a sweeter side which went quite well with the entire dish. 5)Wong's restaurant This is specialized for it's Chinese cuisine.We ordered their sweet corn chicken soup first which was freshly prepared in front of us due to the open kitchen and my God it smelled so good and tasted even better, pieces of chicken and appropriate amount of sweetness made it a top notch dish. Chicken Kung Pao This is also a quite decent dish served hot in freshly prepared pav. Veg crispy was another one we tried perfect balance of veggies,Chinese sauce and crispness to it. Veg dimsums These were again prepared in front of us and are quite decent as well. In the end we had their Malai gola,mango gola and haji special falooda out of which I enjoyed their falooda so much,it was extra sweet just the way I wanted it to be and also few chunks of Malai added on top of it. This new place is just amazing. First of all I loved the concept of getting all the famous food brands under one roof, working together towards serving great food. The name itself suggest that this restaurant is situated on the busy streets of Camp. . Ambience : Its just amazing. Ample of seating area. The first floor is even more beautiful. It has three sections, the Ac section with comfortable seating and a very chill environment, obviously. The traditional section, where there are no chairs but some matresses with and a low heighted table. This was my personal favorite area as it was way too beautiful and vibrant. The third section is the gully section, with rustic background with great seatings. The lights were a major point of attraction for me! . Food : This is gonna be very interesting. I got to try food from 7 different cultures and taste. In a simpler way there are 7 counters/food shops open currently. Some are under construction. . Khansama Rehman (name of the counter) We ordered some tandoori starters to begin my day! Some Mutton Galauti Kabab, Murg Parche, Murg Banjara, Murg Tikka, Paneer Pasanda. Loved the Paneer Pasanda. These delicacies are their special. You'll can definitely try them out! . Cafe Navruz By Mona This counter had amazing irani food. We ordered Gathar Tanoor, Jujhe Kabab and the mushrooms were amazing! Perfectly barbecued! . Udupi Restaurant Then moved to some delicious south indian food cause why not! Ordered a Sixer dosa and a plate of medu wada and pineapple sheers. Sixer dosa is an amazing concept. Its has 6 fluffy uttapam of different flavours like beetroot, capsicum, onion, plane, potato and tomato. The coconut chutney was amazing and the sambhar was heavenly. . Wong's Chinese Also they have some delicious Chinese food to serve. We ordered veg dimsums, chilly burnt pepper, veg crispy, sweet corn Chicken soup, kung pao chicken. These were literally amazing, highly recommending these. . Haji Juice and Bites Some drinks to complement. Ordered sitafal milkshake, avocardo milkshake, mixed berry juice, kiwi watermelon juice. Highly highly recommending the sitafal milkshake it was mesmerizing. Also the Haji Special faluda is a treat to self. Its soo soo good! . Decchi's biryani cafe and bohri cuisine This place is known for its amazing biryani combos. We ordered the Chicken Bora thaal. Some cheese balls and bombay naan chop. .
