India Grill — Restaurant in Saket

Been there to have lunch. Booked a table through zomato. The worst part is the parking for mall and the hotel is same. And you have to enter the restaurant either through the mall or walk back to the hotel’s main entrance all the way through multi level parking.

The ambiance was pleasant.

Talking about the food, I wasn’t really impressed. Considering the hotel was a 4 star, didn’t meet up with the expectations.

I ordered-

Vegetable spring rolls 3/5- the filling wasn’t too good, not much taste but still these were fine.

Fruit mojito 5/5- absolutely enjoyed this drink, it had fresh cut fruits as well. Perfect cooler.

Veg Stir fried chilly soya 3/5- This again could have been much flavourful, besides telling them to make it spicy it barely had spice.

Chinese fried rice 1/5- to my surprise it tasted like it was made in ghee. A Chinese rice in ghee!! Extremely disappointed.

Saw a tiny fly on the top of the gravy. Kindly work on sanitation as well.

Overall, I can’t pretty much comment on the entire variety of food but whatever I had apart from the drink was not upto the standards. I hope they work on this feedback. Maybe I’ll give this place another shot...

We went to this place to celebrate our daughter’s birthday and one word to describe the experience is “pathetic”. There was just one waiter available serving 8-10 tables at the same time because of which the service was damn slow. Even after waiting for 10-15 minutes, no one came to enquire about the food, etc. until we did. Most importantly we ordered coke for our daughter till the exit no one bothered to fulfill the order. Items and their characteristics: Tomato Dhaniya sorbet- We felt as if it was served in a 03rd class railway station. I presume it was the rice water with some added colors and spices Shami Kebab - completely undercooked Paneer tikka - tasteless and flavorless, no onion capsicum nothing Gutta curry - the curd used was extremely sour and it was curdled hence the awful taste Mocktail (Safe sex on the beach) - It was a sugar drink as opposed to a mixture of juices Baked potato - tasteless Curd - Even the basic curd was stale What was okay- Pizza, Naan, Paneer Makhani, and Balsamic vegetable Note- The chef had a rivalry with the salt because it was missing in all the dishes we tasted Our mood was spoiled and money was drained at this...

We went on 22/11 for an a-la-carte dinner. Gave a simple order of Sourdough Ciabatta (veg) and Butter Chicken with Naan. Part of the order, the chicken and naan came in 45 mins!! it was alright. The sandwich came in more than 60 mins - this was despite the restaurant having any kind of crowd. On top of this, the sandwich was cold and the bread was stale. Already tired with the waiting, and in no mood to create a fuss, we had our food, paid through the Zomato app - left a two star and started leaving. To our surprise, the restaurant staff comes running asking about the rating - explained that the bread was stale, his reply "The Sourdough does not go with everyone's palate"!!! As we were at the end of our day, tired and in no mood to argue with the hotel staff, we just paid and left the place.

Humble request to the restaurant, please don't accept walk-in or a-la-carte orders if all you want to focus is the buffet. And take pride in the food that you serve your customers instead have just stacking any leftovers and putting it in front of them.
