Hotel runs is located in Adyar, right after the end of the flyover. It was established in 1964.
I have had the pleasure of dining here a couple of times. They have two floors, the ground floor is non AC and the upper floor is AC and looks more posh as well. The service here is decent and the food comes out reasonably quick too. The ambience is good and they maintain cleanliness really well.
Now about the food, I’d say their kebabs and bbq are a must try for anyone. I have tried their grilled chicken, which they serve with three sauces which is decent. Their alfaham chicken was the star of the show for me. It was absolutely superb. If you are looking to have a big lunch, their biryani is decent and good quantity as well. Their peri peri bbq chicken looked really good last time as well and I’m hoping to try it in my next visit.

Read moreUsed to be a regular hang out place for me and a group of friends during college time... in fact all treats used to happen at this place... now don't go here very often as my wifey and lil one are pure vegetarians.....
But still manage to order food from here as I love their food as it has a little flavor of Kerala cooking....
always order their tandoori chicken... it is one of their best dish on the menu... their Chinese food even though doesn't taste like authentic Chinese restaurant but still love it... off late my usual order from this place is Kerala parrota and egg fry or masala... it will barely cost you 150rs and it is satisfying....
Recommend this place to people who have had a drink and want to eat some good non veg food... go to their AC section if you are going with your family.... an old place which still has held it's spot and caters a set...
Read moreHotel Runs is a very old Kerala restaurant, I have been coming to this hotel since 1999, earlier their seatings were different, with family rooms, now they have modified, they have made many changes, the AC hall is very beautiful, even after these many years, the taste of the food remains the same like before. We ordered, Chicken Fried rice, Parotta, Kerala Chicken, appam, and fruit juice, the fried rice was flavourful and very tasty, Parotta was soft and perfect. The overall bill was around 700/-. The cost is economic not too costly or cheap. Regarding the car parking, they do not have separate parking, but can use the road sides. It is easy at night to get parking when the shops nearby are closed. But during day time there will be difficult to find a place for the car. Overall I had a very...
