Bombay Brasserie is one of the finest dining places in the city. The standalone restaurant gives a star property feel and their food is rich in flavours and never failed to impress all the time. They have revamped the menu and the new dishes are quite interesting and taste so good! this blog is all about the dining experience of the new menu.

First of all Bombay Brasserie is located in two places, Nungambakkam and Adyar. This one is from the Adyar one, the restaurant is not exactly located on the main road. It's difficult to spot the place, but google maps came in handy for the rescue.

The ambience is so good, the lighting is perfect and they have enough space to accommodate a huge crowd and have private spaces for special guests.

Coming to food, Angoori Soda, Melon Magic, Cochin Kuliki sherbet. The Cochin Kuliki sherbet was very bland. Melon magic was very refreshing it had muskmelon and fresh orange juice combination. Angoori Soda was on point and it was not just a grape juice it had the combination of lemon juice and cumin powder and the fizzy soda.

Aam Papad Paneer, Chilli Cheese Kulcha, and Agra Subz Seekh Kebab Roti on the veg. The Aam papad paneer had the tangy mango flavour, and the spices were marinated well over it and the taste was on point. The chilli cheese kulcha was nothing but mini kulchas stuffed with chilli cheese, having a bite of it reminds of the chilli cheese toast. The Agra subz seekh wasn't special in comparison to the other two starters. Ghost Pepper Wings and Kashmiri Naan Kebab on the Non-veg, the smoked and roasted chicken wings with the spice Bhoot Jolokia. This chicken was definitely spicy but honestly expected it to be even spicier when I heard about them. On the other hand loved the mutton minced kebab served with doon chetin, again one of my favourites from the night.

For the mains, Bombay lunch home veg curry with banana leaf rice, Coast to coast chicken with mixed seed roti, Calcutta club fish fry, Old Delhi Murg boti with butter roomali, and Chur chur paratha. The veg curry was absolutely brilliant. It was the one veg items in the veg and was so good, the rice steamed in the tender banana leaves served with the Mumbai veg curry masala. Chur Chur paratha was the iconic dish of the night, the taste was so good, and it went well with all the curries. both the chicken curries and the fish. The Chur chur paratha is crispy, flaky, and looks hand crushed. The chicken curry was just the one needed for finishing the bread and chur chur paratha.

Dessert, Amritsari Kulfa - Kulfi and creamy rabdi served on a bed of Badami phirni topped with falooda and rose syrup. the taste is phenomenal and one can return to BB just for having this dessert.

The Average cost for two is around Rs. 1500. However, this is just a rough estimate. The new menu looks very interesting and the whole experience was excellent. Revamped menu can't...

We were 4 of us (host), guest 3 adults went for dinner on 8thsep 2024 for my daughter’s birthday at 7pm Bombay brassiere Adyar

Ordered chicken lollipops, mushroom dry , gulatti kabab, lassi, , soup for starters

No attenders for the table came only after we went and called , took the orders , after long waiting time starters were served @ room temperature not hot at all, starters were served uncooked

After tasting the starters we cancelled the soup & lassi

The pita bread which was given along with kebab was crispy like chips 🤣 So we cancelled the lassi & soup which weren’t brought to the table

Both Service & Food was horrible

They just kept silent when yelled about the food

As we were alongwith the guest jus walked off paying the bill & as it was already 8:15pm

We went to villa77 in the same building for fine dining as it was already getting late There was Another surprise was waiting for us

Villa 77 was empty we stepped in was about dine noticed that the same kind of cutlery pack was on the table in villa77 Thought it should be the same management n asked the waiter is the chef the same for both restaurants he didn’t reply But the moment we said we will not pay the bill of the food is not good n if the same chef is cooking The waiter then replied YES

Then we jus walked off from that entire premises mindfully decided not to step into this premises at all

Thought of sharing these reviews to all of you guys which will surely be useful

Horrible food , pathetic service @...

I visited this place with my family and found the ambience really good. I heard about this place from a colleague and wanted to give this a try; to be honest I found it a good experience. To start with the location, its in the heart of Adyar on the main road. Possibly the one thing to improve here would be the size of the board... Unless you are focused to locate this board, you will miss the restaurant. They provide valet parking, so driving a car here is not an issue.

If you plan to visit over a weekend around or after 7:30 PM, its better to do a booking. There's a decent amount of crowd (just speaks about their quality).

When I visited, I could notice the presence of several families and several groups of friends, essentially negating any stereotyping the place to be suitable only for family or only friends groups.

Coming to the menu - the options are good and provide more options for Non-Veg compared to Veg (However I would say its the case across most of the restaurants). The quality and quantity of the food was really good. The serving time was within expected guidelines.

I felt the price was a bit on the higher side (not a lot, since the quality and quantity justify the price tag to a great extent).

If you are looking for a nice place within the city limits to spend quality time with your loved ones and not too constrained on the cost, this is definitely a must...

Okay, one word - wow ! Bombay Brasserie is an exquisite restaurant. For one, it joins the league of wonderfully done restaurants that were flipped from being private residential properties. The ambience is nothing short of serene, calm and isolated.. All despite being located right next to the high traffic Adyar bridge. Car parking could have been difficult had it not been for the valet parking service that mostly help find a parking spot on the road or under the bridge. Even helpful enough to find my phone in the car and ensure I got it to me at the table. The menu is unique and tastefully done with context of the region's influence. There's a very reasonable waiting time for the food to be delivered once you order. The wait staff are professional and friendly. The food itself- The mutton kebab and chicken kebab were simple delectable. Amazing but expensive. If the items were 50 rupees cheaper you might have as well declared the chef's skill is outstanding. The chicken biryani follows the same story as well. Great but expensive for the quantity. One disappointment was the removal of the chocolate roti dessert which was distinctive and out of the world but apparently management decided to remove it from the menu. Go here for sure! It is wonderful but expect to spend INR 1,000 per person for a full meal.

Hand down the best north indian place in chennai!! Their service is also good. The ambience gives out such warmth! Dishes i had 1)Kashmiri naan kebab - this is a MUST TRY!! Its mutton sheek kebab( quite long in size) along with a huge butter naan to munch it with, and a yogurt dip which elevates the dish to another level!!!!! 2)Chicken tikka biryani - another favv, cuz where do we get such flavour, spicy and so yum tikkas, and the masala has that amazing aroma, just perfect for you to hog on it. 3)Paneer tikka - the pieces were quite thick, so i felt it light ah bland, but no regrets, it was still really soft and flavourful! 4) calcutta fish fry - basically rava coated fish fry, quantity wise okay, but the taste isnt that great. 5)Anglo indian bread pudding - warm and gooey bread pudding, with a crunchy layer on top, served with vanilla icecream, and a malai topping with it. So basically tasty maxxxx! 6) mango rasagulla - this is quite new, serves with liquid nitrogen base, tastes yum especially in summers when we cant get enough of mangoes! Dishes slightly on the pricier side, but once a while it wont hurt. Keep looking out for offers on dineout, zomato. Adyar branch is the best one Nungambakkam branch, the food isnt this great
