A Culinary Misadventure at Junior Kuppanna: A Tale of Unappetizing Adventures
Ah, Junior Kuppanna, the place where culinary dreams go to die. My recent escapades to this eatery have been nothing short of a gastronomic comedy of errors, and I can't help but share this amusing saga.
My first encounter with Junior Kuppanna was at their ECR branch, where everything seemed promising, until I made the grave mistake of trying their "Goli Soda." Folks, let me tell you, that seemingly innocent bottle of fizz was nothing short of a diabolical concoction, turning my digestive system into a battleground for chaos. It left me questioning life choices and swearing off all things fizzy.
Round two brought me to their Velachery outpost, where I had the distinct privilege of encountering the enigmatic "Pichipotta Nattu Kozhi." Now, this dish was an olfactory adventure like no other. The smell was so off-putting that even my nose recoiled in horror. They promptly took it back, but my taste buds had already suffered irreparable damage. The biriyani, crafted from the mysterious "Jerraga Samba," left me pondering the mysteries of life, with its funny taste that was anything but palatable. And oh, the "Pichi Potta" paneer - it looked and tasted suspiciously like regular masala paneer, with a fancy name that fooled no one.
Now, let's talk about their parotta – flaky and decent, but the only redeeming feature in this culinary circus. It was the perfect sidekick to the tragic "Pichipotta Nattu Kozhi." Speaking of which, let's address this chicken conundrum. They call it "Pichipotta Nattu Kozhi," but it's more likely a cunning blend of various chicken varieties. Only a poultry detective with a discerning palate could uncover this culinary riddle.
In my third attempt at this gastronomic roulette, I ordered parotta once more, which proved to be soft and delightful. But alas, even though there was no obvious staleness in the chicken, I could sense its deceitful nature. By the time I reached home, my stomach had started plotting a rebellion, and by evening, I was hosting a feverish under-tummy party. Oh, what a wild night it was, thanks to Junior Kuppanna!
In conclusion, Junior Kuppanna's culinary escapades are not for the faint of heart. If you possess a stomach of steel and a nose of iron, perhaps you'll find their offerings amusingly adventurous. But for me, after this trilogy of tasteless tribulations, I've decided to bid adieu to this gastronomic circus once and for all. Bon appétit, my brave culinary explorers, but beware the pitfalls of...
Read moreOne of the worst hotel we dined in. When we went to wash our hands, we couldn’t resist the stinky smell from kitchen. A/C were not switched on, when asked they said they switched off because of the water leakage. There were totally 4 fans for the full hall. When we placed the order, most of the items were not available. The time is just 1.30pm. We ordered one fish meals, 2 chicken meals and one fried rice. The leaf they gave was too small, we asked for Thalai vazhai illa, they said they ran out of it. But they did have it and serving it for the other tables. Since we were very hungry we didn’t bother, we waited nearly 20 minutes for the food and half of the fish meals were served, that is just fish curry and rasam. Waiting nearly for other 10 minutes for the white rice to be served (that too when asked) still waiting for the fish fry to come. My dad was super hungry and started to eat without side dish. The fish curry was very stinky and Couldn’t eat. Then he switched to Rasam, and still waiting for the side dish to arrive. For the chicken meals serving , they had some new dishes served in our table. Immediately they realized it is for other table and removed all from our table. We got really frustrated. Finally after additional 20 minutes they served the chicken meals but not the white rice. No one were around to serve. We got really frustrated and shouted them, later they served rice and brought fish fry, by the time we don’t feel like eating over there. They brought the fried rice after 50 minutes of wait time and kept in the table and left. Which is not what we ordered. The next table guy told that is his order and they kept in our table. Such a pain with them on that day. No one ate the lunch. we called the manager and told what happened and he was acting like nothing happened and shouting at the employees. Horrible customer service and poor quality of food. Our day was spoiled. Never ever go to...
