After a hectic week of school and work from home, wanted to take a break and long drive on Sunday. The weather spoilt the drive plan but wanted to go until Radisson Blu Temple Bay. Saturday night called 7 to 8 times to reserve a table for lunch. For some reason the front desk was not able to transfer the call to restaurant. Slept sulking and to my surprise, Vijay from F&B called me back. He guaranteed that he will make place for us during lunch and also agreed to order ala carte instead of buffet. The staff also were very polite and it wouldn't be wrong to say that I felt like a celebrity. Vijay I don't know if you mentioned anything but the service was rop notch in spite of buffet going on. Got a beautiful place to sit facing pool. Food was delicious and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The kid enjoyed the starter and Paneer for main course was brilliant.
There was a discount given on the bill and I was surprised. Asked Justin another person in the restaurant to check if it ks the right bill and be insisted more than once to pay what is given in the bill. After food the buggies took us to the beach. Had fun in the beach, played some indoor games and didn't realize that 5 hours just flew by.
I had a certain vision in my mind but the staff and experience took it to whole different level. It has been long since this kind of support and care given by staff.
Thanks Vijay Kumar for one of the best experience. The entire team Justin Prasanna everyone were so kind. We will definitely come and again and recommend people to visit this place if you want to spend a quality day with friends and family.
Vijay Kumar sir, my daughter wants to stay there and spend more time around the beach and pool. I will call you if I...
Read moreWaters Edge, nestled inside a beautiful resort in Mahabalipuram with direct beach access, turned out to be the perfect spot for our large group of 16, including 8 adults and 8 kids. We visited for their breakfast buffet, and the experience was nothing short of delightful!
From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, and Sumita, in particular, went above and beyond to make our experience special. Managing a group of our size, especially with so many kids, is no easy task, but Sumita handled it with incredible grace, attentiveness, and a genuine smile. She made sure the kids’ specific wants were met—whether it was extra pancakes, fresh juice refills, or keeping them entertained with her friendly demeanor. Her hospitality made the experience stress-free and enjoyable for all the parents.
The breakfast spread was lavish, offering a wide variety of options to suit everyone’s tastes. The live counters for dosas and eggs were a big hit, and the freshly baked croissants and pastries were divine. The pool front location added to the charm, as we could feel the cool breeze and enjoy stunning views while indulging in the meal.
The kids loved the space and the staff's friendliness, and the adults appreciated the seamless service and quality of food. After breakfast, we took a short stroll to the beach, which was clean and serene—a perfect way to wrap up the morning.
A big thanks to the entire Waters Edge team, and especially Sumita, for making this breakfast one to remember. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a delicious meal with impeccable service in a stunning location! We’ll...
Read moreWorst food experience for breakfast buffet during my recent visit in July 2024. Radisson breakfast used to be iconic and top notch amongst all breakfast buffets in and around chennai and ECR. I have been there 3 times prior and always looked forward to the scrumptious breakfast spread. Especially the south indian items like Pongal, sambar, chutneys and other accompaniments.
My recent experience there was nothing short of gut-wrenching. It would be a gross understatement to say it deserves negative rating. The idlies, gravies, poha, hashbrowns, sandwiches were so bland, tasteless and annoyingly poorly made. No fried bondas or the legendary tomato gravy were part of the menu. Kasi halwa was horrible. The cashew pongal was a sorry of a dish. No ghee on it. Guess they have used Vanaspati. I always looked forward to the pure-ghee laden "Nei Pongal" here. Shocking! The hashbrowns smelled of palm oil. Can't even compare this food quality to earlier times. The bread spread was starkly unappetising and embarrassingly distasteful. No savarin buns. The danish buns were bland. The juices/milkshakes reeked with essence and not natural fruits. The coffee was ok. There were no jam/marmalade/butter on the dining table. Looks like heavy cost-cutting on the breakfast buffet.
Horrible experience to say the least. And having to shell out huge amount of money for this was the worst of all. Don't go here expecting a good breakfast experience. Worst ever. I will never visit or even think of staying at Radisson anymore, unless they can seriously improve their fallen...
