After trying the indoor restaurant in the hotel, we came here to see how the beachside ambience and food lives up First complaints, menu is very limited as to what the main restaurant had. Expected in a speciality place. But veg options were very less and very specific, and modifications were not being made. This means one has to order biryani with quinoa cause normal veg biryani doesn’t exist in menu. Fancy menu items without basic ones available is a bit troublesome. Also for a seafood place the number of ala carte fish options were ridiculously little. Apart from the catch of the day option which is a full fish, if you wanted smaller dishes they had only 3-4 in the whole menu. Less than poultry and meat. Coming to taste of dishes, for what they did have they delivered pretty well. Welcome drinks and starter was provided, the mango juice was yum and the starter was an avocado balsamic puff pastry which was also really tasty. The mascarpone paneer tikka had the delicious grill taste and was very well cooked and tasty. The apple cinnamon kulcha was interesting but didn’t have too much of the flavours. Unfortunately they couldn’t make a fillet out of the catch of the day (fish) but made a mild butter sauce version of the Kingfish Fry already in the menu. 3 pieces were very generous and the fish was cooked well. Satisfied. Despite not having a variety of fish dishes, the select dish was very good I loved their kombucha mojito which was amazingly soothing to the throat and the stomach. They also finished us up with complimentary dark chocolate which were also very tasty. The beachside ambience is pretty nice and the designs are very creative. The kitchen is also out in the open in front of the tables. But it began to rain and mosquitoes were too prevalent which ruined part of the atmosphere. Service was quite good and the server did her best despite a busy kitchen and we got our dishes quite fast.

Failing to capitalise on it's otherwise splendid location, the Wharf disappoints with a lacklustre and limited menu. The portions for the starters like panko fried calamari and french fries were unusually tiny despite the hefty price tag. The jumbo prawns were among the most expensive dishes on the menu but surprisingly enough were dry / poorly seasoned and needed to be doused with lime and mint chutney to force out some flavour. The highlight dish was the catch of the day (pomfret in our case). Priced similar to the paltry calamari, the pomfret was spiced and grilled perfectly. It would've been nice if the lonely fish was accompanied by some veggies/ fried potatoes. The Murgh kada kabab is another item we recommend but was also steeply priced for what was essentially 4 pieces of chargrilled tangdi kebabs. The menu needs an urgent rethink and more attention could be paid to the range/quality of the dishes offered to it's customers. The status quo is more like that of a restro bar with a bunch of average overpriced starters.

This place was just a vibe. Im afternoon escaping from the sun, sitting under a good shack with the ocean just in front of us. The warm hospitality, the welcome drinks and visiting gifts were just so special. Coming on to the food, I had poutine fries, jackfruit curry (don't remember the exact name) and some garlic naan, with coconut icecream cone. All of it was just soulful and filled with flavour. To be honest even after a week I am still craving it 😄. The service was excellent, the servers were constantly smiling and helping us to decide on the menu. Just one little hicup was that during billing, one of the server got little disappointed I feel maybe because I was paying from Zomato district. Again I am not sure but he was disappointed for some reason. Also please note that the food portions are bit small so if you are 2 or more people make sure to order more!

It was pleasant cloudy day when we decided to dine in for lunch at the Wharf Restaurant of Radisson Mahabalipuram. The restaurant is on the beach and offers breathtaking views of the Shore temple that’s a few metres away. The restaurant is barricaded from the beach and with a bit of walking one can access it though.

We had Mushroom and smoked mozzarella empanadas- the stuffing was prepared well and the empanadas were soft and crunchy. The shell on shrimp with paprika sauce was mildly spicy - the portion was quite good though the dish could have done with a bit of more flavour and seemed a tad too bland despite the sauce. The Vegetables Lasagne was delectable with the sheets cooked to perfection. The vegetable spaghetti pasta in cream sauce had oodles of cheese and was Okay.

The service in the restaurant was top notch and I was a bit surprised as I wasn’t expecting much considering the reviews I had read. They were attentive and obliging to our requests and were quick too. The outdoor seating chairs need replacement as they are very heavy and cannot be moved an inch without assistance. The finger bowls served after the meal seem very rustic and need to be changed. It was a good...

A well located beside the beach in house restaurant of Radisson blue, has only the location to boast about. The menu is seriously limited in it's seafood options and they make up by adding tandoor options along side. Unnecessarily expensive with a lack lustre taste. The waiters have limited knowledge/understanding of what's on offer and how it can be tweaked to satisfy the customer. The manager/(s) are quite disinterested in getting you a table as they seem generally over occupied. Despite waiting for over 45 mins one one occasion, they did not accept my reservation the following evening. The fact that we were with an infant had no bearing on them. I had to call the duty manager of the hotel to complain, but the restaurant promptly called by at my reservation time saying it's full ," so please come another time" . Well , all I can say is, if one is staying at the Radisson, skip this over priced, good for 1 star Wharf2.0 and enjoy some better authentic sea food cuisine 300m down south. Walk it/ or drive down but it's worth it on the pocket and on your taste buds. P.s the location of the smaller restaurants are as good. Try Sea rock restaurant Anthony Sea...
