Well, as I write this Review there are 'n' number of things that are going inside my head regarding today.
As Sir Tony Greig used to say to Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar that 'What a player, what a Player, what an wonderful player..' I'' also say that today 24th of July 2016 which is a Sunday; 'What a day, what a day!!..'' To start off I'd say this is only the SECOND RESTAURANT ever that I have given a full 5 Out of 5!! The 1st one of course being a street food ka dukan at the Classic Shyambazar.
Anyways, it was a Nostalgic ride from the Dunlop Bridge to the Airport gate no 1 in the Nostalgic #ChotaHaathi. Then went to CC2 for the 1st time (why I say it's the 1st time only WE can guess) After having some khatta-meetha conversation Checked Zomato to find restaurants nearby and THIS ONE was our choice. I had NO CLUE what was going on #InsideTheRestaurant!!
For the service - support - behaviour - Someone has already given it a 5 out of 5! Not only it was my surprise b'day plan in advance but it was a Candle Light Dinner. Actually due to one of my sister's marriage on that day it was actually a Candle Light Lunch. What a surprise. Though 24th of July is NOT MY BIRTHDAY, But I was so astonished and was in a 'Different Jogot' that I was 'Baakruddho'
For the 1st time in a non-birthday day, in a non-birthday month (of course mine) The cake cutting was done, Unknown people wished me HBD which stands for Happy Birthday. While I entered this Blue Nile, the Kenny G track stopped and played a Happy Birthday song. I must appreciate someone's efforts of making this plan successful and of course my fault is that that I'll not be available in my actual b'day which is on 05th of September as I'll be outside Calcutta and which is my own decision.
The Food was tasty as well. The Masala Kulcha was Yum! Tried a new indian chicken item rolled with egg (Murgh Patiyala) and it was tasty. Unfortunately my #ContinuousNightShift and less sleeping for the last 2 years has reduced my eating capability. My fault. Paneer item was good as well. The stuff behaviour was good. However the most humble stuff's tips was taken away by another stuff. I hope he has got it. Next is the managers behaviour was also polite. For the ambience while We was having Candle Light Lunch it was looking like a Candle Light Dinner. So no afsosh! .....as told by someone while I was entering everyone inside the restaurant clapped for me including all the stuffs and managers. I will surely surely not forget this day. Someone wrote 1st review today and that too for this elegant and costly restaurant and giving a 5 out of 5.! The decoration was superb. I must must say.
** Postscript - I believe this is my longest review so far. I can keep on writing for today. I choose this late at night to write the review as it helps me to open my mind and write. Thank you bole choto korte chai na as thank you would be very small and tiny compare to what you have done.

Read moreVisited this place few days back and it is an awesome experience I must say. They are offering 2:1 offer for all the alcoholic beverages except draught beers. the items we tried : Mushroom salt & pepper This one was good , by taste and quantity. Basket of French fries Crispy and tasty . Oriental style American Corn This I liked the most in this menu because of the taste , crunchiness and quantity. Cheese cherry pineapple sticks This I tried for the very first time , at first it tasted weird , but when it started melting in my mouth , it was surreal. Strand road cocktail fish chops Fritters with stuffing of Fish , potato and spices mashed and cooked together, pairs up nicely with Kasundi( Mustard sauce) Non vegetarian Indian kebab platter Tangra style chilli chicken Desi Chinese for a reason. Contains at least 10 pieces of medium sized chicken , made in a Indian style Chinese gravy , pairs up nicely with fried rice or even hakka noodles. Chicken hakka noodles it was exactly how a proper bowl of hakka noodles should be . Less oil , more veggies and chicken , the tastiest. Mixed fried rice This had the perfect chunks of meat , egg and prawn and with the correct amount of seasonings. Pan grilled chicken sizzler Grilled chicken in sizzling sauce , herb rice and sauted vegetable, this...
Read moreLast week my cousin and I visited this place situated in city center 2 on the 1st floor. They have a huge area where a bar is completely separated from Restaurant cum bar. We went to the proper bar where alcohol is sevred along with appetizers. We entered and saw it was more or less empty, but the DJ was playing some mesmerizing old tracks. We grabbed our seats quickly and started to decide the menu. We took a combo of 899/- which was excluding GST consisted of 90 ml alcohol divided into three shots choice of alcohol as mentioned in the menu, one shisha of your own flavour, any one appetizer mentioned in the menu. The flavor of shisha was suggested by the staff, which was double apple flavored, which was worthy taking as we lacked some knowledge about shisha. We took rum as bacardi white rum was not available at that moment. Later, we took a beer and another three shots of rum separately. The staffs were very suggestive about the menu, the place was very clean. The smoking area is a bit congested as the room is small. We took fried baby corn as an appetizer, which was moderate in taste. Overall, we spent 1260/- ruppess in total for everything. The experience here was good. Ambiance gives you the vibe of old cow farms, indeed. I felt it's pocket friendly to come with friends...
