Barbeque Nation- T Nagar — Restaurant in Zone 10 Kodambakkam

Thanks to easy diner we received free dinner for two which we were more than happy to accept. It's been a while since I visited BBQ nation since I didn't have good experience earlier but this time around it was a complete turnaround. New place, better infra, add to it the excellent customer service made us feel comfy and excited. The people are very friendly and make u feel at home. Infact they keep asking u if everything is comfortable so many times that you start feeling that your entire life was a lie and that we weren't pampered as much as we actually were supposed to be.

We were neatly taken to our seats and had minimum of 3 people gathered around who invited us and explained about the cuisine, setup and services. They literally were spoon feeding us which initially sounded funny and we started embracing it. The same protocol was followed for the other guests and none were spared from their welcomeness.

So now after all the pep talks about the food and drinks we started our journey experimenting the food. As you all aware of the cuisine and the bbq setup I'm not getting into detail but the stand-out was the services . At all times you had someone looking at you and the moment you ask something they deliver it with a smile.

The interesting thing was even the people working at the counters seemed friendly and offered us with a smile. They were soft spoken, offered us options and even made sure we enjoyed our food. I was so impressed with the service and probably the best service I had seen in recent times, that too in a buffet restaurant.

One point we started liking them so much that we started imitating their way of talking amongst us for fun. It's a procedure they follow to all the guests but the way they did it seemed genuine and believable.

I ordered for Pina colada and spicy tango for drinks which isn't included on the buffet menu but since we had vouchers for 2k we were allowed to order anything within the 2k limit.

We were allowed to customise our food to cater to our taste and depending on our requests they served the food and everything was hot and tasty.

The desserts were good and I personally preferred the kulfi with some topping and everything else were just fine .

Overall an happy experience, will I go there next time, even,...

Don't be flabbergasted by the name 'Barbecue Nation' because you'll be receiving one of the most capable service providing staff's who'll constantly ask for customer reviews and still provide delicious 'it will take time sir' answer's they'll add some more spicy answers to fulfil your tummy like we are providing fantastic zero knowledge foods at live counter where only one staff will act as superman and fly from one counter to another with charming face.

Timely service where you'll get your food refilled every 30 minutes. You have to Bring your own plates and Bowl's as there is no stock at the restaurant. Excellent varieties of food where nothing in the menu card will be provided. Super powered staff's where two - three staff's can handle around 100 people at a time. More option's in starter's where they'll give options to add or subside the spice level of the same food. They make us feel ancient by providing Half cooked fresh meat. Precise and fast billing where the manager listen to the previous booking call of yours's to make sure about the billing. Only restaurant to provide Salty Kulfi Ice cream. They are very fast because they will take around 40 min to provide you the bill. Also I was searching for excellent word's for Dirtiness. Also they charge you extra service charges for excellent services provided.

Do not pay for nothing and ask everything they have promised you.

Bad food and bad experience.

I first visited this place in 2018, and now in 2025, I still can't believe it has only gotten worse.

I made a reservation on Sunday for two people, and we were seated within five minutes. However, the starters took around 20 minutes to arrive, which made me lose my appetite. When it came to the grill, we were given vegetarian plates even though we had clearly mentioned non-vegetarian. The starters were served very slowly, and it took an hour for us to get our food. By that time, I had completely lost my appetite. The service was extremely poor.

The disappointment didn’t end there. My friend suggested we move on to the main course, but by the time we got there, everything was finished—at just 3 PM! There were no refills. Since I had nothing to eat, I went to the desserts section, only to find no ice cream and old, stale desserts. The cakes were clearly not fresh.

As for the live counters—what a disaster! No one was responding, and none of the staff understood Tamil or English. It was frustrating to watch the server struggle to understand what I was saying. The honey chili chicken had a raw taste, which made it even worse.

The final touch of disappointment? We ordered a lime soda, and it was the saltiest drink ever! How can something as simple as lime soda be made so poorly? To make matters worse, instead of fixing the issue, the staff kept asking about the service and trying to convince me with another lime soda, which was just annoying.

I am extremely disappointed with this place, especially with the food...
