TL;DR - If your cooking skills are below average, then you will find the food provided here to be tasty. I had to wait 30 mins on a Sunday to get in. Ambience was ok. The staff were kind and friendly. Food did not have after effects. Felt homely.
Long review. Okay, I went to this place on a Sunday and hence I had to wait for 30 minutes before getting in. You can park your vehicles on the streets. They do not have their own parking space.
Before I review the food, let me tell you a little bit about my expectations. My mom's cooking in general is above average. Its not as GREAT as the best restaurants but its better than any average restaurant. I would rate my mom's cooking to be above average for sure but not the best since obviously there will exist someone who can do better than my mom.
Hence, I found all the dishes in the restaurant to be subpar. The taste isn't excellent. You will find the food to be delicious if your cooking skills are subpar. But if your cooking is delicious, you will either find the food here to taste the same level or maybe a bit less. And mind you, this place is very expensive. You get very less quantity of meat for the price you pay. So if you are someone who can cook well, I will not recommend this place. But if you have got money and you do not really cook, then you will enjoy this place.
The concept for meal here is that, you order a side dish listed in the menu and you get unlimited rice and 7 varieties of gravy (only the gravy, no meat!), rasam and curd with it. But when you compare the quantity of the side dish and the price point, they do not really match. I got a very small bowl of mutton chukka for the mutton chukka meal. It costed us 400 rs. Mind you, the mutton chukka they provide also has a bit of gravy, onions, etc etc. Basically in the end you really do not get a lot of meat for the price you pay and the side dish is the only part where you even get to see meat! The quantity is
Read moreThe food is really tasteful and they have different varieties of the side dishes included in the meal which comes around 260- 400. Unlimited meals with 5 to 6 different non veg curry and it's delecious. I Personally didn't like the crab curry but it depends on person to person. Chicken, mutton, n other Currys are really good. Service is really good at table and you're not left empty with the plate. One person would be keep on reaching to you with some or other items. The goli soda is damn expensive there LOL. You get that outside in 20 bugs and also I found the waiting period is also quite more and is about 20 to 30 mins and that too depends on the crowd which is already eating and some must be already waiting. So, that's the 2 thing which i found not so great but rest all food wise everything was really good. 😊 You can go alone or with friends or with gfs or with family. It's a good place to visit for food. And please plan properly on weekends as it is full on those days mostly. If you are planning for lunch then go before 230 because you won't get seats after 3 or so. Due to heavy crowd. So, plan accordingly and visit for good food. I recommend this to all for at least visit once. You may not go there on all the weeknds but once a month or may be in 2 months you may be able to visit. Must try place it is. Authentic south indian food and it is tasty too. Rest all the others can share their views as well on the food and the restaurant which will help others to choose wisely may be. Overall it is good deal, may be the meals looks expensive than the other normal hotel but the kind service or the taste of food it is, satisfies you to the core. You eat and come out holding stomach that you had too much than the...
Read moreOne word- Not worth the hype. I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at this restaurant and I must say it was one of the most disappointing meals I’ve ever had. The food was not only overpriced but also excessively spicy, leaving me with an unpleasant aftertaste that lingered throughout the entire meal.
Every item I ordered turned out to be intolerably spicy. I appreciate a bit of heat in my food, but this was on an entirely different level. It felt as though the excessive spiciness was deliberately used to mask any lack of flavor or quality in the ingredients. It became a struggle to even taste the individual components of the dishes, as the overwhelming spice numbed my taste buds.
To make matters worse each dish on the menu seemed to be priced far beyond its actual worth, making it impossible to enjoy the meal without constantly calculating the expenses.
It’s disappointing when a restaurant relies on hype rather than delivering on its promises. The positive reviews and recommendations I had heard were completely misleading. The overall experience left me wondering why this place was given so much praise when the food failed to meet even the most basic expectations.
If you’re someone who enjoys flavorful, reasonably priced food, I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant . There are countless other dining options available that offer better value for your money and provide truly enjoyable culinary experiences. Save yourself the disappointment and look elsewhere for a satisfying meal.
Remember, this is just my personal experience, but I hope it helps you make an...
