Worst experience with dine in and take away orders. Please double check your bill and your contents before leaving!
We had some snacks and placed another order for take away.
There is not much ambiance for this place. While we understand it was crowded, the waiter just kept ignoring us to take orders. We eventually stopped him to take orders, but he had a hard time understanding tamil. As others have pointed out, this is really bad considering this is located in Chennai.
Next, they sealed the take away orders, preventing us from inspecting it. So we double confirmed the order before picking it up. But when we unpacked, it was missing an item, bhel puri.
We tried contacting them through the phone number here as well as on their website. Both were left unanswered.
We are left helpless and this is a pretty pathetic. Really bad how much the standards and the authenticity has fallen since this establishment's pioneer days when customer experience and due diligence was considered a priority.
We will do our best to avoid A2B going forward where possible and will not recommend this to...
Read moreLast night around 8 PM with my family, and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. One of the staffs attending to us did not seem to know Tamil, which was surprising for a shop in Chennai. While language barriers can sometimes happen, basic communication with customers is essential in a retail setting.
Moreover, the service was extremely slow. All three of us placed our orders and had to wait an unnecessarily long time. To make things worse, the staff was very rude. When handing over the sweets, instead of passing them properly, he pushed them towards us in a dismissive manner, which came across as disrespectful. As customers, we expect at least basic courtesy, but his attitude was far from acceptable.
What was even more disappointing was that the manager, who I believe was the cashier, did not intervene or address the situation. Regardless of whatever issues the staff might have been dealing with, this is not the right way to treat customers.
I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and ensures better customer service in the...
Read moreSomething is going wrong at this Pondy Bazaar outlet. The so called air-conditioned facility on the first floor was a terrible experience. The dinning tables were not clean. Found eaten plates lying unattended for over 15 minutes at the adjacent table. The table I took was also not clean with used water tumblers from previous patrons not removed and the table not cleaned with water and food crumbs lying on the table. It took a long time for the table to be cleaned after I informed the bearer. This too was s half hearted attempt by the cleaner. The bearer did not seem to give a damn. The place is dim lit. That is a good ambience but it should not be used to hide the dirt and grime. The chutneys served were so watery, it was flowing down the plates and spoiling the dosas. Extremely disappointing. After the funding support received by the group, we expected better quality, but this is going the Saravana Bhavan way....
