Coming to the food:
Starters:
Pepper panner:
Been a Indochinese and indothai restaurant this guys amazed me with their cooking skills, they have well cooked the panner, its was hot and spicy even you will be able to feel its crispy on the edges. I would have been more better if the paneer was bit soft. Still the taste of this dish will make your day.
Rice Paper Roll:
Rice paper roll are quite famous in Vietnam and Thailand, i have tried this on in singapore but trust me guys this is far better than the one which i had, its was totally veggies and butter garlic. though the outer layer tasted blunt the moment you have the whole bite with the stuffs you will be able to sense the whole new flavor. its was so appetizing its was little sweet too loved it.
Emerald Momos:
I have tried three different types of dumpling here, sweet corn cottage cheese, corn and mushroom and Emerald momos.
Momos have became quite popular in india, you will be able to grab a delicious bite in all the street corners,Momos are enthusiastically consumed by everyone on the streets. Coming to the taste, its was so yummy they have well steamed it, its was properly cooked, i just had the one whole momos in one bite. wow its so juicy and soft.
Phat thai noodels:
This one was little down fall, taste was little blunt. so i tried mixing up some thai curry to it, to make it little flavorful.
Thai Green curry and Rice :
Im a big fan of thai green curry, been served with coconut milk and veggies it always make my mouth drool, been an indo thai restaurant they made the entire gravy with the indian spices, which gave it a different taste. main draw back is they dint add lemon grass to it, thai green curry is incomplete without lemon grass. May be an Indian version still it went so well with rice.
Desserts:
There is no words to express about the desserts, below image says it.
Ice kachang I always feel my life should be more colourful and sweet like ice kachang.
Just order and love itđ€©đđ

The restaurant is housed in a dilapidated building in one of the swankiest sections of town, Adyar. You probably would have driven past this a 100 times without even noticing it existed. The only sign of a restaurant existing is an intermittently flashing neon light which wouldn't be out of place in a 1980s bar. As you search for existence of an eatery, an auto driver points into a dark and dimly lit alley. With great trepidation, we drove into the narrow path and got down at the entrance of the building. a building which probably was last painted at the turn of the century. A rickety lift took us to the fourth floor. During the journey we went from wondering if the lift would indeed reach the fourth floor to questioning the very meaning of existence. As we got out, we were met by a flight of stairs filled with rubbish. The dim lights at the restaurant did their best to hide the dirty walls
But all of these disappeared the moment the food arrived. The staff were courteous. The food service was remarkably quick given the restaurant was at least half full. The serving size was huge meaning a single started would have sufficed for 2 (if not 3) of us. The food was one of the best Chinese we had eaten in Chennai. None of the dishes disappointed us and the cost was reasonable. The only average dish was probably the fried ice cream and even this wasn't bad
While we were eating, we were pleasantly surprised to see 5 generation of Chennaities having their dinner - right from children in primary school to an elderly couple who would have been in their late 70s and an elderly lady who would definitely have been in her 80s
This is a restaurant you should not miss if you are a vegetarian and the detailed description in the first para is to ensure you don't get spooked out on the way...
Read moreBest vegetarian Chinese restaurant I have been to (also only?) The best thing about this place is that there is no strong smell that is usually associated with restaurants that serve Thai or Chinese cuisine. The restaurant was 75% full despite being Monday night. You can expect it to be full on the weekends, so call ahead for a reservation. The menu has just as many items as a regular restaurants veg and non vegetarian menu combined.
We has more of the Chinese items on the menu and liked almost every dish that was served, the food tended to be on the lower end of the salt scale but nothing a bit of salt shaker couldn't fix. My friends tell me that their Thai food is equally good if not better. Like many other reviewers have mentioned, Crispy Chilly baby corn was delicious and we liked their Veg balls in Manchurian gravy. American chopsuey was another dish that is worthy mentioning. They had a Chilly garlic sauce that was very yummy along with the starters. Their portions were also generous, luckily we were aware of this and ordered just enough, when in doubt ask the staff.
The staff was polite and friendly and as we went as a big group of 12 we called ahead to reserve a table. They have a secluded family room that seats 12-14 so that was an added bonus. We could make as much noise as we wanted without disturbing other guests. Overall it's a must visit place if you are vegetarian and want to have a good sumptuous Chinese or Thai dinner.
Note: The restaurant is on the fourth floor of a dull building with ICICI bank on the bottom 3 floors (deserted at night, but safe), but the inside decor is very nice. Also they have plenty of parking behind the building, about...
