#A2B #AdyarAnandaBhavan What good is your food if you have a bad customer service and uncaring staff.
I have eaten in your restaurant many times. But I think true side of customer service is known only when situations happen like this as to how businesses take care of their customers.
Had a BAD experience on JAN 1st and I have decided not to step into your restaurant again and pass on this to everyone I know.
Came to your restaurant with 6 of us on Jan 1st and it was crowded. It was hard to find a place, but managed to find one, was sitting for a while and was ready to order (was wondering why no one was taking order). Then one of the bearer who saw us sitting on the table, but did not care and leaned over on top of us and put a 'Self Service' tag on our table. If had known, would not have sat on it (on hindsight I think it was for good). I asked the bearer we did not know it was self service (as there was no tag ) and wondered if you take the order as we are sitting on it already.. He said flat NO and did not even wait and moved on to next table. I got up and asked the biller at the entrance why don't you take order from us since we already sat here. He said NO flatly (He did not even look at my face properly) and we dont take order flatly at self service. I asked him If it was self-service why there was no tag in the first place. He chose not to reply. I was p..d.
Then I looked around for a while see if I could find a spot I did after a while, but as usual, another lady was waiting for the same spot even though we came first to that spot... decided it was futile...
In essense, A2B does not care about its customers (BTW, taking order and serving food is not customer service, that is just pure business.)
Why give business to an uncaring, messy restaurant.... I decided not to eat here and get out. I have eaten many times there and have tipped liberally as I usually do, but, on Jan 1st we all had to get out hungry. Then went straight to another Restaurant. It was crowded too, but they organized it very well and ate and returned home...
Will never step in...
Read moreI would want the management to take note of an incident that happened on 21st Jan at your restaurant.
You have a policy of not allowing your customers to use their laptop at your dining service which is absurd.
I understand if a cx is whiling away time after eating and occupying your space then MAYBE you have the right to ask them to leave.
But in this case I had ordered food and waiting for the food to arrive - how is it fair for the restaurant to tell me what i can / cannot do while I am waiting for my food. I have every right to use my laptop. What if I was using a tablet then would the same rule apply? What about children who watch videos while waiting for the food? Would the same rule apply?
It is not just the food you serve. It's the service you offer to your cx.
If you have a policy then know to IMPLEMENT it right. Don't annoy a cx who has come to have their breakfast and not causing any disturbance to you.
The main reason for writing this is so the management can do the right thing next time and not trouble or disrespect another another cx who wants to use an electronic device while waiting for food in...

the ambience is poor. the 1st floor AC hall curtains haven't been sent for dry cleaning since it was put. the hall looks old one and floor tiles and false ceiling looks dirty. the staff mostly hindi belt requires belt to control their tummies and there is no mint (saunf) served there as it is not a practice. Wonderful.
the price of dishes are high and dhabha will serve a goid quality stuff at lesser prices.
the wash room area looks like spill and beans corner. if you order an addai, which is prepared downstairs like a open street vendor, minimum 30 minutes it will take.
many people are sitting front of the hotel waiting for free food being given by the a2b trust and begging becomes common.
on the whole the crowd don't bother anything of these sorts and perhaps they want to dine unmindful of clumsy and unclean atmosphere.
Kudos to eaters, beggers...
