Senthil Softy Zone — Restaurant in Zone 9 Teynampet

Senthil Softy Zone is a kind of an outlet that's really rare... Its not easy to find shops like this... And i don't mean so for the taste... But by the variety of items they serve... The items they serve are sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, hotdogs, snacks, puffs, chats, varieties of samosas, varieties of cutlets, flavored milk, shakes, softies, cakes and pastries... Have we ever heard all these being served at a single place... You will say yes... What's the big deal in it... But what if i say that this place looks no different than a normal roadside bakery.. Then it gets really interesting... So during a mini food walk in mylapore i included this place due to recommendation of a close friend...

Location : On the kutchery road...opposite to the luz church road...a couple 100 mts on the left...

Parking : Road side parking only...only for 2 wheelers..

Ambiance : Its no more than 2 normal sized shops clubbed together... Its just a take away joint... The variety of items they serve and the looks of the actual outlet don't match a bit.... As said u can just have a take away or you can buy and eat standing there...

Service : Nothing goes in the name of service... There are lot of people to serve...one for each variety i guess...the speed of service is average...during heavy flow of orders the scene gets chaotic...

Taste : Tried just a few items... Flavored milk, Paneer puff and a veg cutlet... The chocolate flavored milk was just good... Not great or anything special was priced at 26rs... The paneer puff at 22rs was also just average... Taste wise was spicy... And the filling inside was so meagre... As promoted these puffs have comparatively less oil in the puffs... The cutlet at 22rs was bigger in quantity... Haven't seen cutlets of this size anywhere... Taste wise also was good.. Not the regular cutlet you will get....

Value for Money : Have had better flavored milks for lesser prices.. The puff too was just average... Priced a bit high for the quantity.... You might say its priced high coz it was a paneer puff.. But the filling was too less.... The cutlet was better...Good in taste and size too was great for the price... Though with normal tastes in items they serve.. This place stands out in fact of varieties of items they serve... Will definitely visit again to try some more...

Disappointing Experience at Senthil Softy Zone:

As a loyal customer for nearly a decade, i am saddened to report a significant decline in food quality and service at Senthil Softy Zone in Mylapore.

My recent visit on November 17, 2024, was a letdown. Food was served cold, chat items had an unpleasant smell, and the staff, particularly the daughter of the founder, displayed arrogant behavior.

It's disheartening to see a once beloved eatery prioritize profits over quality and customer satisfaction. I have filed a complaint with the Food Safety and Drug Administration Department and advise fellow customers, especially parents with young children, to avoid this outlet until...

I have been visiting Senthil since my school days. Used to love the food over there and it was our hangout spot. Cut to visiting the spot after 10 years , the quality of foods are the same , but the pricing has become extremely high for a street side shop. Also the employee/owner once told me not to visit anymore if you feel you cannot afford the items we offer. I felt really bad because this place was nostalgia for me. I have no complaints about the food , just the pricing and staff attitude is terrible. Don't try to rekindle your old memories by revisiting senthil's again. Let it stay in your mind as it...
