Full on chinese mode for the day!! Would definitely vouch for their noodles any day since it is one of the few places in Chennai which serves good customized oriental noodles (Veg-only spot).
Spicy wonton soup - Holy good starter to begin the meal with!! Very spicy & aromatic with good wonton filling
Chilli paneer bao bun - Fluffy bao buns with crunchy nuts but there was a sour taste (the sauce?) and smell from it; the paneer could have been better
Crispy chilli potato - Crunchy potato tossed in mild sauce and topped with cilantro; was definitely filling, OK
Crispy sesame baby corn - Similar to the potato with well cooked baby corn; the color and the consistency of the veggies were good
Chilli rice with Mallaka sauce - Spicy rice with tofu & a side of their hot sauce; though it was predominantly on the Umami side, this went dry quick, Heavy
Jasmine rice with thai green curry - Fragrant rice mixed with sweet & thick green curry; though ain't the best green curry, this was OK
Flat noodles with schezwan sauce - Spicy flat noodles topped with red chillies; mix it well and slurp it all along, so smooth
Fresh noodles with Spicy black bean sauce - A unique taste from the black beans; felt schezwan was more spicy than the black bean sauce
For the drinks it was the bubbly Goli soda: Lemon tree lemon, Purple haze grape, Pink panther (Strawberry) and Green river (Apple).
Pretty OK parking space right opposite under the bridge. The service was quick with good seating space. The setup is standard across all their stores while their prices...
Read moreIt isn't my first time visiting this place and it won't be the last time either. The concept is really good. You essentially get to make your own noodle dish.
They give you a form to fill up which lets you pick the noodle type, things you would want in your dish (like paneer, mushrooms, carrots and beans, broccoli and so on), the sauce(like Japanese red wine or Schezwan) and the extras to go along with all those. There's a lot more to it. But the idea is to think and pick the right combination of these ingredients that you think would please your taste buds
The THEORY is good. Is the execution good too? Yes, it is! Once you submit your form, they prepare it accordingly, which takes some time and once you get it, there's more excitement than usual because it is what you've created. You chose the combination of the items that are now your unique dish. YOU'RE majorly responsible for the taste. For me, the taste works out pretty good most of the time. Sometimes, it DOES fail because it will either taste bland or really weird. I think they can fix that by identifying and restricting certain combinations
Overall, it's a really good place to hang out with friends and get creative with what...
Read moreAs a customer, I expected the restaurant to take responsibility for their errors and provide a prompt solution. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet my expectations, and I felt undervalued as a customer. I urge others to consider this review before ordering food from this establishment on GN Chetty Road T Nagar.
After todays SWIGGY order from this restaurant, I was disappointed to receive an incomplete food with almost all the vegetables missing.
Despite informing the restaurant about the issue, a member of the management, a lady, suggested that I should complain to SWIGGY for the solution instead of resolving the matter directly with them.
After some persuasion, they agreed to provide a replacement order, but the process was time-consuming, and I had to wait for 62 minutes until 5:22 pm for the food to arrive, even though it was only 850meters away from my location.
Additionally, I also informed the restaurant about a wrongly added vegetable, BABY CORN, but the lady seemed skeptical and didn't believe me, even though it was evident that the mistake was made by their staff. Sadly, I had to consume the wrongly ordered food to...
