Angkul Angkul Restaurant — Restaurant in Bali

This restaurant is in the Ubud Village Resort, where we stayed. We attended a traditional Balinese food and dance night on Saturday 15/10/22. The traditional dancers and costumes were amazing, the food was good but cold and it was a challenging night with the weather. The main disappointment on the night was that the owner/manager had a table of guests (including a yappy dog) and I found the people at the table (including the manager) very rude and disrespectful, especially during the dance performances. Other guests were watching the dancing, while the manager's table continued to talk and laugh pretty loudly. Why organise a great night of entertainment and then attend and spoil it for others, if you only want to talk. It was bad enough having to deal with the terrential rain. AMAZING restaurant. This is one of the highlights of this hotel, we love it here. Beautiful breakfast, great sandwiches, a delicious couple of dinners, and afternoon tea which is different every day and always fun. Also good room service from here. The staff are friendly and really polite, and the view is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Unfortunately sometimes the service is quite slow (during one meal we had to beckon over the staff 6+ times to get more drinks or ask for our plates to be cleared etc), but they are so friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed so it’s ok.
