A lovely space to drink tea, read a book, reflect yourself. However, if you don't smoke, it can be a turn off as there are many smokers in the place. To me, this place felt like a magic because it had what I needed (gong fu set & sheng pu'er). I saw the book I've been wanting to read even before I sat on a table 😳 I finished the entire book while sipping the tea (ordered sheng pu'er, seminyak). The staffs, the guests, everyone in the venue was respecting another person's space. P.s. I didn't feel any chaqi/ tea energy from drinking seminyak sheng puer. The leaves I tasted were flat. I suspect it didn't get stored properly. This can be a problematic to an avid tea drinker. However, just for sipping, this place will do. Overall, a good place to enjoy tea 😊 My response to the owner's reply: The storage method exactly explains the stale taste. Dark tea (sheng, shou, liubao, etc.) needs oxygen and a certain level of moisture keep the microbes alive inside of the tea. These teas go through microbal ripening processing (but tea drinkers just say as fermentation). From Camellia Sinensis, - no or minimal oxidation (green tea) - oxidation (white, yellow, oolong, black) - microbial ripening ( sheng, shou, heicha from China) - fermantaion (miang from Thailand, goishicha from Japan, cheongtaejeon from Korea). Any sheng store in a zipbag away from oxigen and moisture will go stale. Once the tea goes stale and dead, it's hard to bring it back or age.

Ambiance and Hospitality From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so warm and welcomed. Their attentiveness and genuine smiles set the tone for a delightful experience. The Tea Selection We chose the Mango Oolong tea, which was incredibly smooth and fragrant—a perfect balance of tropical flavors and subtle oolong richness. The opportunity to handpick our own authentic tea cup added a personal and charming touch to the experience. The Food Experience The refreshing salads were a delightful start, and the highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the Mango Passion Cheesecake. It was hands down the best cheesecake I’ve had in Bali—perfectly creamy with a tangy-sweet twist that left us wanting more. Final Thoughts Whether you’re a local or visiting Bali, ChaiChitai CANGGU Tea House is an absolute must-visit. It’s the perfect spot for tea lovers, food enthusiasts, or anyone looking to unwind in a serene setting.

ChaiChitai - A Tea Lover's Paradise in Bali! My recent visit to this tea house in Bali was an absolute revelation. As a lifelong tea specialist, I've sampled exquisite brews all over the world, but nothing compares to the experience I had at this extraordinary tea house. Stepping inside this place was like entering a sanctuary for the senses. The warm, inviting atmosphere was infused with the delightful aromas of delicate teas. The sheer variety of their selection was astounding, varieties are crazy. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about tea, guiding me through their extensive menu with expertise and charm. They helped people to select the perfect teas and demonstrated the proper brewing techniques. The presentation of my tea was a work of art in itself. Served in beautiful ceramic pots and cups, every sip was a ceremony. And the accompanying treats? Divine! Delectable pastries and savory bites perfectly complemented the nuanced flavors of the teas. Owner has set a new standard for tea houses! Win! If you're in Bali and adore the simple pleasure of a perfectly brewed cup of tea, this is an absolute must-visit! P.s. order sandwiches and go...
