WOW WOW WOW!! What an experience! I came here on my wedding anniversary and the staff made sure that our experience is an unforgettable one. The food & drinks are inventive, unique, and certainly delicious.
I came before sundown and ordered a Mr & Mrs Alila, which is their Gin & Tonic, and it's amazing. Not too bitter and very refreshing, served with a sprig of rosemary and lemon peel, adding to its aroma. The ice is these crystal clear chunks that looked so pretty.
After sundown we ordered our meals, and we started the meal with the complimentary entree of Fresh Sourdough Bread with Mackarel Mayonnaise. The Sourdough is still warm and the Mackarel Mayo is so creamy and savory. An amazing start for our dinner.
I ordered the 5 Hours Steamed Octopus Tentacles, and it was basically like a steak texturally. Served with goma sauce, yuzu radish, pickled Wakame, and a small grilled eggplant. The octopus eaten with the thick creamy goma sauce is so savory, and then countered by the yuzu radish and pickled wakame to cleanse your palate.
The wife ordered Udang Bakar Jimbaran (Jimbaran Grilled Shrimp). The shrimps are pretty big, so fresh you can taste the sweetness, and it came off its shell cleanly, again indicating its freshness. The grilling gave it a smoky note, paired with the savory spicy seasoning. Served with sambal matah, which kicks up the spice and freshness a notch, and another sambal which is quite mellow. Steamed white rice is included with the dish but we swapped it out for a bowl of salad.
And then our server Toni, congratulated us on our anniversary and brought us 2 glasses of sparkling wine as a gift!
After the meal, I ordered a dessert and cocktail.
For the dessert, we ordered Brulee, which is a creme brulee served with apple compote, bits of sponge cake, and meringue. The apple compote tartness cuts through the richness of the brulee. It was great.
For the drink, I ordered Caramelized Pear. Made from upcycled pear, it was sweet and refreshing. Served in a cute pear-shaped glass.
And then, our server Toni came with a complimentary chocolate cake (!) to congratulate us again on our anniversary.
And finally, when we asked for the bill, Toni came again with 2 Praline filled with salted caramel, complimentary of course.
And through all this, our server Toni was very attentive and deserved a special shout out.
Overall, one of the most memorable moments in my week at Bali. Will definitely...

Ambiance 11/10 Service 10/10 Food 6/10
Seasalt is the must be place to catch the sunset. Fantastic ambiance with unobstructed views of a signature seminyak orange sunset. (Even managed to catch some fireworks being set off to top it off)
Food started off fantastic with the complimentary signature seasalt baked, seaweed wrapped mackeral butter (served with flair) and compressed watermelon with mint. 10/10
Went with the octopus and agedashi tofu for starters. A disappointing drop to an amazing start. Octopus texture was too mashed & mushy probably due to it being "5 hours steamed". Goma-ae pairing was too strong and masked the expected sweetness of a fresh octopus. 4/10 Likewise for the Agedashi tofu, goma-ae pairing made the overall texture of the dish too rough. Felt alot like eating peanut butter with tofu. 4/10
Next up, wagyu ribs and the "off the bone" (grilled pompano). Plating for the grilled pompano was exquisite and well done. However, de-scaling was not properly done and ruined anything good that came with the fish. 6.5/10 Wagyu ribs was average but the accompanying sauce was too overwhelming and masked any natural flavors of the ribs. Wasabi-mash potato pairing was disappointing and contained no hint of wasabi at all. 4/10
Thankfully, desserts were a positive note to end the night. Passion Coco was a refreshing combination with the coconut sorbet on a bed of mango jelly. 8/10 Creme brulee was well done with a balanced combination of sweetness and fruitiness from the apple compote. 8/10
What really turned the night around and made me give an overall 4/5 rating was a hidden gem at this establishment, A hidden gem called Leo. Leo put in a genuine effort to ensure the night went as smoothly as it could, constantly checking in to make sure we were having a pleasant time. He showed a heartwarming concern on our feedback on the food and took the initiative to communicate it back to the kitchen. I only hope everyone who visits this establishment has the luxury to have been served by...
Read moreHad brunch here with reservation.
During arrival they were quite busy so no one attend host table, considering the busy time it’s understandable as the host quickly comes to us when they saw us.
The food is good not great, seafood is good but one of my oyster are not so fresh as it’s taste more fishy than others that I had, babi guling taste is authentic, probably our table’s most favorite dish during brunch. The ribs we ordered from menu is very tender.
There’s food on buffet stall and there is a la minute menu for order throughout the Sunday Brunch. Oyster pass around is seen once during dining. The server for our table named Cintya and Septi is superb. Appreciate the service from these 2 ladies.
My sister purposely chose this place to celebrate her birthday as she saw other reviews online that showing there is frozen yogurt only to disappoint that there is none. Lesson learnt to ask first before make the prepaid reservation.
See other review that there is pass around caesar salad in cheese wheel and seafood paella(if I’m not mistaken), but I didn’t see it during our visit. Or maybe the pass around simply not went through our tables area.
Brunch only comes with welcome cocktail/mocktail that pre-selected and water.
With the price paid, the price to value is so so in my personal opinion. I personally prefer brunches on nusa dua area for the foods with same price. Will I be back? Probably but it wasn’t something that I would visit as often if the food spread/package are remain the same, or perhaps just try their non-brunch menu. I visited outlet on Alila Uluwatu and Alila Manggis in the past and were very fond of their restaurants foods, wishes Seasalt in Alila Seminyak is as...
