Sawo Coffee and Roastery — Restaurant in Bandung City

Lychee tea is superb. The cheese cake a bit too sweet. Price is quite good around 20-35K per item. And they said they open until around 11 pm. But they have problem with hygiene and cleaners. We sit inside near the door and we get disturb by the annoying fly. It land on top of the cheese cake twice. Both Time I need to cut the infected part. And honestly it's felt very annoying as we need to stay on edge. The waiter apologized but they unable to give us any solution. I need to protect the food and our glass with the tissues. For a place to hangout for young and modern people, I believe they need to look for the hygiene too. Unable give solution for a simple fly problem, make me felt they said, u came, u pay and u need accept anything include the problem that happen and we don't care. I hope service and hygiene will improve in the near future.

No cheese cake being offered to being replace. Waiter only said nothing he can do and leave as that. Honestly, that the one that make me annoyed. Fly can be an accident. But an attitude of the waiter that don't see that as problem is piss me off. My friend even tell the waiter to maybe put some candles or something, but dismiss.

I will be fair and add another star, as I write in emotional state. The toilet is very clean and if no scene with the fly and no act from waiter, I plan to come again as the tea, like I...

Place Nothing to say. Minimalist modern design with warm color tone. Cozy enough to make you lazy to go elsewhere. If you are looking for a cafe with AC, this is your choice.

Coffee 100/10. They use full arabica beans, got a bold and a little bit of acidity. It looks watery but it tastes creamy surprisingly, perfectly balanced. You can also adjust your ice and sugar level here.

Bread/Cake They only got cakes, cookies and croissants here. The croissants taste surprisingly good no lie. I did not expect anything from the croissants in the first place, I only bought it just because i suddenly crave it. But it tastes really good, it is soft, a little bit chewy, and has the perfect ratio of sugar and butter.

Price If you look from the exterior, you will guess it to be expensive, maybe the same as Stb* or around that, but no. It is 1/3 of it, starting at only around 20k, which is surprisingly affordable, with the ambience, atmosphere, and taste.

In conclusion, you have to try this place, it is worth trying and it will be one of your favorite coffeeshops beating all of your favorite...

Though the place was quite clean and well lit, I didn't find it cozy to hang out longer than maybe 30 minutes. The wooden stool were short, small accident prone table (spilled coffee anyone?) I ordered 2 drinks and specifically asked the barista for unsweetened iced coffee with milk because I have type 1 diabetes (bukan gara-gara kebanyakan makan gula atau gaya hidup ya plis deh) When I drink it, it was sweet and apparently they didn't put sugar in it but still a flavored syrup was added.

When my husband asked them, they didn't offer to change the drink to something not sweet like we ordered but insisted on "but we didn't put sugar in it"

Okay. Then maybe this place is good for some people but obviously not diabetic friendly. Oh scratch that.. it's just not friendly.

Suggestion : Listen to customers special request. Some of them may have allergic reaction to some ingredients and it could be fatal and deadly.
