Hello Guys, if you are looking for Authentic Spanish Cuisine. So here’s I have the right answer for you, It’s CASPAR JAKARTA, a Spanish restaurant which located in Sudirman Suites Apartment. It’s under one group with Furusato Izakaya. The main Chef is originally from Spain, and their Signature menu is Paella. What make their Paella special is they use Boba rice, which different size than any regular raw rice, it’s more rounded shaped and perfect for Paella Dish, from Land to Seafood and the portions is good for sharing.

The meaning of Caspar name is reflected on how people always love travelling and have the signature goodies, and here’s born the concept of Caspar, designed by the famous Interior designer name Bill Bensley. All the window on the ceiling is made from Oak wood and strongly hold by steel, so it’s super safe.

The staff is super friendly and they nicely explain each menu and recommend the most popular and signature Dish from the Chef.

Bruschetta It’s the appetiser from CASPAR. The ciabatta bread topped with puree tomatoes drizzled with some extra virgin olive oil. The bread is soft, moist and extra light to triggers your appetite to the main course

Huevo Poche con Setas It’s the best Starter menu I ever tried. Consist of potato puree, poached egg and sautéed mushrooms. The consistency super creamy, thick and I rather say it more plain, not salty, yet I can get all the flavours bind together, it melts in mouth. The egg yolk is perfectly cooked, beautiful orange colour, any the time I stab with fork, it’s burst like a river. OH my Goodness, it’s the BOMB!

Costillar con Pimiento de Piquillo After the amazing Starter, let the the main course be the Star of the day. The slow cooked short ribs is super juicy, tender, soft and melt in mouth. Maybe there’s no other word can define how soft it is, part from melt, juicy and no effort to chew the meat, yes there is some fat, but I love them. The perfect Charred Piquillo or Chimicurri sauce super amazing, the flavour is unique and perfect match with the beef. Romaine lettuce is super crunchy fresh and I love the roasted red chilli~ yummy.

Leche Con Galletas It’s the best dessert from Caspar, at first glance I thought it was a Tiramisu, yet it taste super delicious. The cream foam is light, soft and the cookie on the bottom, taste Great., It’s sweet & taste so cinnamon, smells good. And yeah it’s a wrap. Such a luxury brunch experience with CASPAR.

The dining are is lounge on the 1st floor, private area with some Whiskey collection on the second floor and the other section is Wine collection (but still closed for public), they also have smoking area and outdoor area.

The bar area for making beverages, such as mocktail and cocktail is very luxury and they have two section.

Bipolar It’s a mocktail drink with a touch of ginger. Again it’s recommended by the waiter and surprisingly, it taste amazing, light fresh and quench my thirst. Beautifully decorated with edible flowers, and the good things about this drink is, it’s perfect after the heavy meal, to reduce the feeling after bloated.

I am super happy with CASPAR JAKARTA brunch experience, the service was excellent, super friendly, just in time and super caring, they keep asking if the food is okay and wether you want to make all the food serve to be in one time. The customer mostly group of people in casual and some of them are business man. Hope I can visit again to Caspar on the weekend, to enjoy their Live music.

I went to Caspar last Saturday night around 8pm till 1am. It's a lounge/restaurant. Serve Spanish food, the taste well it's acceptable for the price range.

Unfortunately, with how it was back then, Caspar on track becoming CJ's or Red Square. Can't say much but those who understand will know.

Thank you for your response. Now i need to give a proper review.

As for the Service given by your team on the floor, i must say it was flawless. How they bring themselves to deliver the service was excellent, that rare mix of friendliness and professionalism is a gem. One area to improve namely knowledge in beverage and liquor, in our case was, we came with a friend, an Australian, he ordered a bourbon cola and the waitress was confused. After some explanation, he ordered JackD's Cola though this time he was the one who got confused.

As for the food, although it wasn't stellar it was more than acceptable. A stellar food was something that we actually discuss about it during the meals like," oh wow this croquette is actually balanced, what do you think?". Don't get me wrong, your platting is great, but to be fair for you, i'm not one who big with Spanish dishes so i must say my palate not that comprehensive. So, your dishes was great though not stellar, it wasn't disruptive to the point," really? how much?".

Now the atmosphere. We got outdoor seats because we smoke. I must say, it was a brilliant idea to prohibit smoking inside so you can separate the crowds. I understand most high-rollers don't smoke cigarette, and i commend your wit. The place was also great! Though for people who actually want to have conversation the music pretty loud, even outdoors, however, the DJ's played my cup of tea kind of music so no complaint there.

Now we got into the crowd. Let me be frank during my early visit, the crowd were perfect. A pretty good mix of edgy-people and expats, however, as the night gets darker, somehow these expats attracted a, how do i say this, particular crowd that actually broke the balance. Hence, "on track becoming CJ's or Red Square" i hope you can get my drift.

If i can make a request, it may sound petty, could you make more space in Men's Toilet? Your crowd actually come in pretty large posture compared to average Indonesian. Standing there rubbing shoulder while you taking a relieve not actually a relieving moment.

All and all, my friend suggested to revisit Caspar on Friday when, he informed me, that you guys having a different kind of vibe. So i'll be looking forward to...

Caspar is a Spanish restaurant that is located in the same area as Sudirman Suites Apartment. They consist of two floors with the long coaches as one of their signature. This homy ambiance restaurant will change into a pub in the night.

We came here for a lunch on a Sunday afternoon. There was a live music as well, mostly with jazz that brought more comfortable dining in experience.

Since I'm not that familiar with Spanish foods, so I checked some reviews and tried the foods based on their recommendations.

Here are what we tried :

Pollo Mantequilla (IDR 240,000) It can be served as personal or sharing portion. We tried the sharing portion that consists of a pan-roasted whole tender chicken with brown butter, served with parmentier (a creamy and delicious mashed potato). A recommended menu to try!

Arroz Del Senyoret Mar & Montana (IDR 415,000) This is paella, Spanish rice dish that is more like fried rice I guess 😁 It is suitable for sharing among 2 - 4 persons. A big pan of paella with shrimp, crab, clam, chicken, beef, bell pepper. The paella has a combination of savoury, sweet, with a bit spicy taste. Before enjoying this menu, the staff will help us to stir the paella thoroughly.
