I arrived here this morning at around 10 AM. It was already crowded but maybe it makes sense, considering it's Friday today. Idk about the other weekdays tho, have no idea. This was my first visit (I'm pretty late than most others to try out this cafe), but not for my parents. They already went here before & first, once — only for trying out the avocado coffee & they loved it. This morning, it's different. My mom & I decided to have a brunch, we already planned it. We were already really hungry since departing from our house. It was shocking & somewhat disappointing to find out that most of the main courses that we wanted to eat here are only able to be ordered after 11 AM. But we clearly didn't have that much time to wait any longer so we didn't have any other choice but to order the menus that are already able to be ordered at that time. So I ordered a Yamin noodle & my mom ordered one of the already ready to order fried rice. My meal was just fine personally (for me) as I can do just fine with the mainly sweet taste of the noodle. The sauce/broth was really salty but it was still tolerable for my taste buds as well. It really balanced the sweet noodle. I love everything salty & sweet, even though not overly. But when it comes to my mom's meal, it was below her expectations. The fried rice was too sweet for her liking, & she's already of a senior age (in her 60s) so she doesn't like overtly sweet food as much as I do & it bothered her. She couldn't even finish the meal so she decided to bring home the remaining meal & wanted to give it to someone else. Our beverage (orange juice) was too sour so I asked for extra sugar without pouring 100% of it. It improved the taste. Waitresses were friendly, the service was pretty fast & the free WiFi connection worked well for me. What I dislike the most from this place is that it's too crowded & everyone around us who were there at the same time were really noisy. They talked really loudly & the music playing indoors as well as outdoors was also too loud for my liking which can really be disturbing for me, personally who prefers quieter places & circumstances. Plus it's not so spacious it can make me feel trapped in loud indoors like this cafe. The prices are too high as well for some people. I don't even know if I should consider coming back here anytime soon.....
Read moreLast Saturday after my morning jog, I stopped by Titik Temu Cafe as usual and had a fantastic breakfast. I was greeted warmly, quickly seated in the outdoor area with a great view of SCBD and some live music in the background. I ordered my regular hot Americano and half-cooked scrambled eggs, and everything was spot on—I paid out and left feeling happy and satisfied.
However, when I returned this Saturday after the same workout, the experience was a bit off. I was greeted just as nicely and sat in the same spot, and I ordered the same breakfast to the waitress who greet me.
This time, the waitress have to came again confirmed my order using her gadget, so I had to repeat it.
While I was waiting, another waitress approached me to ask for payment upfront, even though my food hadn’t arrived yet. I yold her how come that last week I pay when I finished, and she replied that the restaurant procedure is always pay upfront and it has been implemented since the begining, it's like that I'm halucinating,
I told her that I'm fine with paling upfront, but I'm just explaining my experience last week, and I asked why that the previous waitress didn't tell me that I need to pay when she took my order? but she didn't answer as if I did not say anything.
While the food and outdoor ambiance remain excellent, the inconsistency in service—especially around the payment process—made this visit feel a bit disjointed.
I hope they can standardize their service so that every visit is as smooth as...
Read moreI tried to order the Iced Latte Gula Aren 2.0 by pointing at the product photo on the menu to the server. Unfortunately, what arrived was the regular Iced Latte Gula Aren, not the 2.0 version.
I politely raised the issue and explained that I clearly asked for the Gula Aren 2.0, but the server insisted that once a menu is served, it can’t be canceled. I decided to let it go, even though the mistake wasn’t on my end.
But then, 15 minutes later, the Iced Latte Gula Aren 2.0 I originally ordered suddenly showed up — without any explanation. I was confused, especially after being told that the order couldn’t be changed. For a moment, I thought it might be a complimentary drink to make up for the mistake.
Instead, the server just said, “But this is the menu you wanted,” implying he placed the second order without my permission.
That was the final straw. The food and atmosphere were okay, but the service was seriously disappointing. This will be my last visit. 👎👎👎
—————— Update: They offered a 5% discount (equivalent to IDR 15,000) as a complimentary gesture. While I appreciate the effort, it doesn’t change my overall negative impression of...
