This place tried but went so wrong! (I had to reach out and let whoever up top) I appreciate the decor, the effort, the location the service, even the menu items. It's the wow factor of the food. Super cheesy. Super oily. Crazy fries was nothing special. The lettuce with blue cheese was decent but not wow. The truffle burger lacked that super yum, I want more more more feeling. The chicken burger was fat and juicy but the flavors didn't go. The whole combination just felt lack of creativity. The chocolate milkshake looked like it was pretty but when you dug in it looked like they went to indomart and picked Astor pocky oreo few pretzels and marshmallows to garnish it. I know it is not easy to please everyone, but other places make a serious effort, and pre-prepare garnishing. Plus it was a nightmare to sip the milkshake wayyyy to thick.. Just make me a decent quality chocolate yummy tasty cocoa shake. How hard is that. Forget the garnishings and decor.
I may seem a little too critical for some but you will totally agree with me the moment you experience this and compare with what's around.
Another thing. Yes the sparkling water is BALIAN brand (super fancy). Charging 65k for sparkling water is more expensive than a Parisian upscale dining restaurant in Paris.
I didn't mind paying 750k. But evaluating the value for what we got with the items 2 burgers and 2 side dishes 2 drinks. Gosh please do better. The world has evolved.
Please start screaming at the chef, even though he may be a star chef, he has probably only put 5% of his focus at this establishment.
By the way vong is a...
Read moreThe restaurant was very crowded. It's Friday night, after all. We got a table outside, a waiter took our order. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. For 15 minutes. Nothing came. Not even the drink or the appetizers we ordered. Then we called a waiter, asked him to please check why our order took so long. Then we waited another 10 minutes or so. We called another waiter, at least please let the appetizers and drinks out since we were starving. He said okay. But he never came back. Now we were anxious. Something must be wrong. We called another waitress, asked her to check and please come back to us with the status of our order. We waited for another 5 minutes, the waitress never came. That's it. My husband decided to leave. The manager came to stop us giving us her name card asking for our contact number so she could invite us later. I asked her so what happened to our order? She said that the system was down and a lot of orders were just gone due to system error. That's a very lame excuse since we already asked 3 times with 3 different waiters about our order but all of them never got back to us. They just simply ignored our order. This is very unprofessional and unacceptable for a restaurant in a 5 star hotel. And asking our contact number to invite us later? Sorry we're not interested in coming again to such restaurant. I've been to restaurants more crowded and still better served than this one. This is poor management combined with poor service personnel. Too bad, the restaurant looks promising, great location and interior, but one...

Sliders for 120 K ++
I chose the truffle burger, lamb, and shrimp so that i could try what some may purport to be the best options they have on the menu. I have to say tho, although it is a bit on the pricey side, they sure pack a punch of well made flavours and the side of fries that it comes with is sure tasty.
The lamb slider was just right with its juicy pink center and that subtle hint of lambiness that reminds you that this soft piece of patty is actually lamb which your brain may have been so accustomed to chewy lamb that such a thing just doesn't compute. The truffle burger was amazing what with that melted piece of brie that is probably bigger than the patty itself and that well infused taste of truffle which you know can't have come from those cheap traps called truffle oil. Finally the shrimp patty was actually fresh shrimp made into an actual patty and grilled rather than some battered fried shrimp.
All in all it was quite worth the price, i would have to say. The fries were imho a bit on the saltier side, but it's still within acceptable limits. The sauces are also quite interesting - do skip the tomato sauce because it's too sweet, but the smokiness of the BBQ (which would have been too salty on its own) mixes so perfectly with the sharpness of the sambal (which is amazingly hot on its own).
Next time ima try the chicken burger for about the same price iirc. Thank you...
