My go-to place for udon!
And curry udon or rice and more!
I have been a big fan of udon especially the one with kakedashi soup. Super duper yuuum. I usually go with Kitsune Udon, the one with fried tofu, then adding the topping with various choices they have there... it can be veggie fritters, seafood tempura, chicken katsu or more.
They have udon menu, with hot/cold soup, and rice menu. Besides Kitsune Udon, You can also have beef curry, sukiyaki, seafood, over udon or rice. They also have children’s menu. They have the family set with udon and soup, then you can put or create any topping you like as well. You can have freshly chopped chillies, spring onion, and extra fritters for free. If you order hot/cold ocha and ice tea, you can have it refilled. Price wise it’s typical Jakartan range, around 55K - 60K per bowl, drinks around 13K before taxes.
The service is fast.. and very efficient. You line up, request for the menu you’d like to have and wait for your food being swiftly prepared. We just have to make sure that they do have the tables for you, especially during this pandemic where their capacity is only 50%.
During COVID-19, health protocol is fully observed. Temperature checked up, listing down our contacts, mask is obligatory and physical distancing is maintained.
I say the lining - up space is not very disability friendly but the dining area is. Perhaps with the help during ordering, it can help those with wheelchair or...
Read moreLucky if you come here without waiting in a long line. I came here for lunch cause my friend been wanting their udon but as a rice lover, I ordered Chicken Katsu Curry.
I know it’s quite crowded but the cashier girl is super cold to the customer, however overall employees are friendly and ok.
This food i ordered costed above Rp.50.000 if I’m not wrong but the taste is decent. The chicken katsu was not fresh and a bit dry, a bit hard to bite tho. However, the curry taste is ok and what’s funny about this dish is a lot of rice under the curry like how can i eat the rice when the chicken katsu is too little and not juicy?
They have a lot of variants of fried food with price range from Rp.7.000 - Rp. 20.000. For the drink, better order the lemon tea/cold ocha because it’s free flow and only cost you...
Read moreMarugame Udon, strategically located by the West Mall in Grand Indonesia, has become my go-to spot whenever I crave delicious udon. The convenience of its position makes it an easy choice for a quick and satisfying meal. Over the years, I’ve consistently returned for their Niku Udon, which never fails to hit the spot with its rich flavor and perfectly cooked noodles.
What I particularly appreciate about Marugame Udon is their ability to adapt to new trends and introduce various new menu items. This keeps the dining experience fresh and exciting, ensuring there’s always something new to try. Despite these changes, they maintain a standardized quality, so you know exactly what to expect each time you visit. The ordering process is incredibly efficient, allowing you to get your meal quickly even...
