Ok so I think the reason I gave two stars instead of one was just because nostalgic reason. I used to love this place. I always ordered nasi goreng kambing. I now see that all the greatness were just a thing in the past. And I have to move on.
So just today I went to eat there. There wasn't a lot of customers. It was probably because it's around 5 pm. From the beginning I felt the welcoming was very cold from the workers. The worst was the waiter giving me my plate being rude when I asked him that my drink (estee) hasn't arrived yet. I asked twice because the first one he ignored me completely. Then the second time he kinda yelled at me to wait. I mean wow. I didn't say anything after that because that's it for me. It made me sure I'm done with this place.
That incident was only tip of the iceberg. Because I have been feeling that this place is changing. The price is becoming really ridiculous 42.000 rupiah even the one in Kebon Sirih which is a street stall. Same price with at the mall.
But then I observed that this place doesn't feel that authentic anymore. The workers seem like any other employees that work in chain restaurants. Which I believe they are becoming a chain restaurant with them opening branches in malls. So I guess this place went corporate. It definitely doesn't feel like a family business or street food anymore.
It is now sadly becoming a business as usual and trying to cover it with a facade of "an authentic legendary...
