Shisha Cafe Artotel — Restaurant in Jakarta

Service was acceptable I had grilled lamb + Kofta in tomato saus…Food was horrible (1) lamb meet was not fresh at all, you would need 10 minutes to chew a small piece.Kofta meat was supposed to be “lamb”…but has nothing to do with lamb…it was clearly beef…with a horrible taste (2) lentil soup was a soup but not lentil…something else i couldnt figure out what it is. (3) mix hot & cold appetizers dishes were just ok However, certainly when compared to authentic ones, rating is 2 out of 10 !

I would never comeback again….and i would never recommend anyone from the middle east (Jordan/Lebanon) or GCC ( specially Dubai) to even think of it as an option for dinner or lunch.

I didnt try their other dishes….but from the meat quality i can tell you…STAY AWAY !

I did not try their shisha, so i can not rate it. But out of 50-60 tables, there were only 4 occupied tables at 5:00 pm…might be not the rush time for cafes to be filled? No clue…

By the way; i left everything almost untocuhed, except for cold appetizers this is the only thing i had as i was starving!!!

Shisha Cafe located inside Artotel Suites is a visual delight. The decor is absolutely lit, with beautiful Turkish lanterns, intricate Arabic designs, and unique heavy metal kitchenware creating an atmosphere that is both vibrant and authentic. The space is entirely dedicated to the lounge, there could have been a shisha free area for food lovers.

The menu is incredibly diverse, featuring a wide array of Arabic and Middle Eastern dishes, from classics like hummus and muhammara to heartier options like kofteh, kebab, and kabuli. We ordered the hummus with beef shwarma platter and a maqlubah with chicken. Both dishes tasted good.

However, the dining experience was significantly hindered by the service. After our shwarma was served, it took 40 minutes and three reminders to get the maqlubah to our table. The same issue occurred with a simple can of coke, which also required multiple reminders. The service was poor and staff frequently forgot...

The healing place feels like a foreign country with a Middle Eastern feel. Delicious food, the best service, and a comfortable place for healing and relaxing, and very instagrammable... especially the atmosphere has an Eastern feel... the service is good... the food served is also delicious... and very affordable... you won't regret it. Wow, the hotel is really cool, amazing, strategic location, good hotel, clean rooms, suitable for those who want to stay here, quite good, friendly towards hotel visitors.
