Google Review for The Nineteen Jakarta – 1 Star
Came for the second sitting of the Valentine’s Day dinner scheduled for 9:30 p.m., but when we arrived on time, our table wasn’t ready. We were finally seated at 10:00 p.m. The waitress informed us that steak options for the Valentine's Day set menu were no longer available, so we opted for à la carte instead—only to be told that the sirloin cut was also unavailable.
We then ordered the MB 4 / 5 New York strip and picanha, waited 1.5 hours, and only then did the manager inform us (because our server was apparently too afraid to break the news) that the New York strip was unavailable. After waiting for another 30 minutes, our food was still not served. We asked to see the manager again, but they never came or even apologized.
To make matters worse, one of the waitresses spilled some of our drinks and didn’t even offer to replace them. The steak itself was just mediocre—certainly not worthy of the glowing 5-star reviews. The Lombok clams and shoestring fries were decent but absolutely not worth the 1.5-hour wait.
The entire restaurant has serious issues with time and portion management. The staff was running around aimlessly, and despite having three managers on the floor, none of them were engaging or proactive in checking on customers. We had to ask for the welcome snack ourselves. The kitchen struggled to serve dishes within an acceptable timeframe and seemed to have miscalculated the number of portions needed for the set menu.
Initially, we wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, as they only opened in August 2024, but the sheer lack of professionalism throughout the night made it impossible.
Overall, we wouldn’t recommend spending your money here. There are far better steakhouses in Jakarta with more professional and...

We also get a complimentary. It was a delicious chocolate cake. It made the experience even more special.
A special shoutout to Mr. Ben, who made our evening even more memorable with his cheerful personality, sense of humor, and exceptional hospitality. He went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience.
Every recommendation from Mr. Ben exceeded our expectations. From the Fritto misto, Miyazaki NY strip A5, until the chocolate mousse all tastes the best. He could even explain everything from about the nineteen and the food itself. He truly made the dining experience feel unforgettable.
The experience to eat Miyazaki NY strip A5 is a must try. From the service to the taste are very enjoyable and speacial. They recommend a medium rare with mashed potato and creamy spinach for the sides. The meat felt tender and juicy, and the sides also completed everything. We got 3 sauces: the 19 steak sauce, bearnaise, and chimichurri. All the sauces tasted so good, but my best pick was bearnaise. Meanwhile, my friend loved the chimichurri.
Overall, it was a flawless dining experience. Great food, beautiful atmosphere, and top-notch service. Highly recommended, and definitely a place...
