The Sand Beach Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Kuta

I decided to have dinner at the Sand Beach Bar, even we all know that the food at front beach location is usually overpriced, well you pay for view and entertainment and I was ok with that to pay the extra. I thought there can't be to much going wrong with a pumpkin soup. Unfortunately I found a piece of thin plastic in the size of a 50 cent piece (Australia) in my soup, which I nearly swollowed. Lucky I checked it because first I thought it might be pumpkin skin. I returned the soup and the warmed up version of it came back, no plastic, this time. In hine site I probably should not ordered another meal, but it was a nice pumpkin soup in taste and I thought maybe just an accident, though it should not really happen. The I ordered quesadilla with beef, which looked nice and crusty on the picture. Again disappointed, as they were still very undercooked and the dough was still mashy. Again the food had to go back to the kitchen, disappeared, the next time they were better, but lots of cheese and hardly any of the tenderloin beef promised, more a bit of bolognese style beef. the dining experience stretched over an hour with my food having to be returned to the kitchen. Lucky it was a beautiful sunset, but the dining experience was very unsatisfactory, nearly dangerous if I would have swollowed the plastic piece. My total of my bill for the 3 items, with one large Bintang came to $28 Oz.. a lot of money for a soup and doggie quesadilla I did get a lot of apologies, but I said, normally if the meal is that unsatisfactory you get it for free or discounted. After this remark, I did get $1.8 of the bill. I certainly can not recommend to go there for food and I will certainly return to a warung or other restaurant with good quality for that price and never eat...

We went here for dinner whilst walking through Seminyak beach. Food was okay, pretty average and nothing too out of the ordinary, and the atmosphere was good, however it was difficult to listen to the live band playing as there were other live bands adjacent to each other on each side about 20 metres away from one other.

Waiter staff kept asking me if we were going to pay by cash or card about 5 times. Once at the very start, once when we sat down, once when we ordered our starters, and once when I was about to pay. Every time I told him card and he said okay, no problem. He also asked me at the start once we sat down where abouts my hotel was too, and what direction I would be walking towards once I left the restaurant. I have no idea why. It was like he thought we, a family of 4, would run away without paying. Extremely rude and uncalled for.

Experience was ruined when it was time to pay at 10.30pm and the waiter tells us that we have to pay by cash cause their card machine isn’t working, despite telling us from the very start that we could pay by card. I have a feeling he was lying, but we were put in a predicament and had to use up all the cash we had on hand between 4 people to pay the bill of 1.4 million. We didn’t even have enough money to get a grab or taxi back to our hotel, had to walk around at 11pm trying to find an ATM.

Be wary of going in here, they’ll lie to get you to eat and then put you in a tough predicament. The waiter, despite lying to us, was friendly from the start in regard to the service he provided. Just a shame that he ruined our night by lying. First negative experience in Bali after staying here for a week, and happened to be our final meal...

Disappointing Experience : Poor Service, Music, and Live Band

I recently visited a this bar expecting a relaxing atmosphere with good music and attentive service, but unfortunately, my experience was anything but enjoyable. From the moment I arrived, I was met with lackluster hospitality. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, making me feel unwelcome.

To make matters worse, the music playing in the background was dull and uninspiring. Instead of enhancing the beach vibe, it seemed like an afterthought, contributing to the overall disappointing ambiance.

However, the biggest letdown of the evening was the live band performance. Not only were they unskilled musicians, but their choice of songs was completely out of sync with the beach setting. Their loud and discordant tunes disrupted any chance of relaxation, and many patrons, including myself, were left feeling annoyed and frustrated. They even allow customers going up singing like there is no tomorrow with that very bad vocal!

In summary, my experience at this beach bar was marred by poor customer service, lackluster music selection, and a dreadful live band performance. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a pleasant...
