Capil Beach Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Kuta

One of the best of the beach bars we have tried this trip. Atmosphere is chill and the wait staff are warm and friendly and like to welcome u "home" when u return...and return we did...a few times! A different acoustic band plays every night (so that returning guests are not bored according to the manager...hahaha) and they are all very good. Youll want to clap and sing along or kick off the flip flops and dance on d sand and you can! Whether u fancy an in-restaurant or beachside table or a beanbag they'll have u sorted. The food is of an amazing standard for a beachside set up...we really enjoyed our dinner there. And the prices are very very reasonable. We had dinner for 2 with a pasta prawn peperonchino (amazing), fried calamari (best I've ever had anywhere in the world) and nasi goreng (mindblowing) and washed it all down with a fantastic bottle of shiraz and it cost us no more than sgd70 including tips. HAPPY!! Oh...and do try their signature Green Capil cocktail...it is so yummy I want to recreate it for our friends back home!...

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! The food was disgusting and the place was unhygienic. I was nauseous and had a stomach ache after eating here.

Shrimps were not properly cleaned. We ordered pizza (without pineapple) and it came with pineapple. When asked to bring the right order, they simply took the pineapples off the pizza. We ordered steak, it came already cut in small pieces, greasy, and didn’t taste anything like steak or meat at all.

Giant rats were running above our heads.

Restrooms are dirty and disgusting. No soap. The soap bottle was filled with water.

Great service and good food to have. I went here on day 1 with the family for breakfast and have the kids play on the beach. The pizzas are really recommendable as the kids really love it. After leaving Capil, I noticed I lost my wedding ring which somehow dropped from my sling bag when seated at the beanbags. I contacted Capil the following morning to see if they found a wedding ring which they did in the sand. So a definite shout out for excellent service and even finding my ring 😀. We went to pick it up and had our sunset dinner which again...
