The Barrel — Restaurant in Kuta

This place is a part of the hotel. My family and I were here for breakfast. If you like your iced latte without sugar, you have to tell the service staff as the standard here is that they will add sugar. However, they will change another glass of coffee for you if you forgot to specify.

Nonethless, Coffee is not good, it tastes watered down and food tastes like it had been taken off the buffet from the hotel. The mie (noodle) we ordered was dry, the burbur ayam was thick and tasteless (condiments were dry and seemed to have been placed there for a while). The keropok on the sides were not crispy at all. On the whole, it was a very bad experience for breakfast. Food quality was bad considering the price point. The orange juice and the apple juice were drinks, not juices. The management needs to change the words on the menu so as not to confuse us when we order. Service is there if you ask for it, but...

Maybe a good hang out, but wouldn’t rate the food as anything to write home about. The good things: the staff were absolutely lovely. The place is nice. Location is great. Drinks were good. The not do good. Food was not great. Had a satay chicken where the sauce they used was not satay. It was still nice flavour so no issue eating it. Chicken a bit dry. Prices I think were more than equivalent or much nice places. I think you pay a premium because of location and it’s connected to the Furama Xclusive resort. You basically pay tourist prices, not local prices. Will probably eat there again because of convenience. Would have rated 3.5 if I could, but can only...

A great friendly place along the Legian beach strip near Jl Arjuna.

Staff are very pleasant (even when faced with rude customers as I witnessed tonight)

Menu is good if not the most extensive I have seen but this makes selection easier.

Food is well prepared and nicely presented.

Food and drinks are very reasonably priced and the view is of the beach and the road and the traffic-but hey, this is Bali.

The Barrel also caters for ‘take aways’ which is what I had tonight.
