During our stay at Unagi Mas Villas, Voppy, one of the lovely staff members, recommended a restaurant where she used to work. She mentioned it was nearby and had delicious food, so we decided to give it a try for lunch. I’m so glad we did – it turned out to be one of the highlights of our Ubud experience!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm, smiling faces and exceptional service. The general manager Agus even came over to chat with us, thanking us for extending our stay at Unagi Mas Villas. It was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel incredibly welcome.

The food was absolutely divine – every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. It felt like a luxurious culinary journey, and I’ve attached some photos to the review so you can see for yourself how stunning everything looked. The attention to detail in both the food and the service was impeccable.

As an added bonus, the restaurant offered us a complimentary transfer to Ubud Centre, which was such a nice gesture. Nyoman, who showed us around Unagi (a sister company of where we’re staying), was also incredibly kind and helpful. It felt like everyone went above and beyond to make our experience special.

The entire team at the restaurant (I didnt catch all their names but they are all lovely) was attentive, kind, and made us feel like valued guests. The combination of delicious food, luxurious servings, and top-notch service made this dining experience unforgettable.

I had the chance to have dinner and breakfast here. The food is just amazing! I had a portion of nasi goreng ayam pandan (fried rice with chicken cooked with pandan leaves) and tom yum for dinner and Benedict egg and croissant for breakfast. Everything is just perfect and beyond expectation. Normally people (I) wouldn't expect so much from a restaurant with many different options (Indonesian, Thai, Asian in general, Western), but the food is surprisingly very tasty and delicious. Too bad I didn't take any picture of them, because we enjoyed the food very much. Second, the staff is very fine and genuinely friendly with incredible international-standard service. I was served by Mas Dodi. He is very polite, helpful and willing to provide information about the surrounding areas. Last but not least, the restaurant has a nice ambiance. It maybe not 'instagrammable' for nowadays standard,but for people who know what tasty food means, they should go there.

Update: I just visited this restaurant again. Everything is still superb. Still my favorite tom yum. Just like my last visit, there was only one table occupied besides mine, which is a pity from the restaurant point of view. But on the other side, it feels more private. Also, everyone still following the health protocols, which makes me feel safer to be there and enjoy the food and atmosphere...
