From the moment we stepped into Ivy Cafe, we knew we were in for a treat. The cozy ambiance, warm wooden tones, and aesthetically plated dishes made for the perfect brunch setting. Our server, Diana, was incredibly attentive, ensuring we had a wonderful dining experience.

Food & Drinks • Smoothie Bowl – A vibrant and refreshing blend topped with fresh strawberries, bananas, chia seeds, granola, and coconut flakes. Every spoonful was a delightful mix of creamy and crunchy textures. • Avocado Toast – This dish was perfection on a plate! The creamy avocado spread, topped with microgreens and crumbled feta, was beautifully balanced. The addition of poached eggs and a zesty green sauce elevated the dish. • Salmon Tasmania – This was a standout! A deliciously fresh slice of sourdough topped with smoked salmon, capers, and dill, with a side of lemon to enhance the flavors. l had the pleasure of dining at Ivy Cafe, and I must say, it was an experience worth sharing! From the moment I stepped through the door, I was welcomed by a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for a delightful meal.

The menu features a fantastic selection of both classic and innovative dishes, making it hard to choose just one! I opted for the seasonal salad and the grilled chicken sandwich, both of which were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The ingredients tasted exceptionally high quality, and the attention to detail in the preparation was evident.

What truly made my visit exceptional, however, was the outstanding service provided by Dina. She was attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about ensuring that every guest had a memorable experience. Dina took the time to explain the specials of the day and made thoughtful recommendations based on my preferences. Her warmth and enthusiasm truly elevated my dining experience and put a smile on my face.

Throughout the meal, Dina checked in to see how everything was and if I needed anything, without being intrusive. It was clear that she takes great pride in her work and genuinely cares about her customers.

The service here was shockingly rude and arrogant. Today, the three of us dined at this restaurant, and the waitress taking our order was extremely impolite. After selecting a dish, I paused for a few seconds and decided to switch to another one. Without any courtesy, she abruptly said, “The order is already placed, it can’t be changed,” and walked away without even turning back—this was while she was still standing next to our table.

Later, despite us clearly stating three times that we did not want ice in our drinks, they were brought to us filled with ice. After speaking to the server who brought the drinks to request a change, the same woman who took our order came storming over with the receipt in hand and started shouting at us, insisting it was our fault for not listening properly when she confirmed the order.

Having lived in Bali for a while, this is the first time I’ve encountered such an arrogant attitude from a server. It’s hard to believe this could happen in a café that claims to be the best on the island. We did nothing wrong. I don’t know what this waitress might be going through, or whether she simply hates her job and chooses to take it out on customers—but her behavior was absolutely unacceptable.
