My stay at the Rama Phala Resort & Spa was truly exceptional, making it an easy five-star recommendation. We stayed in a Deluxe Room, and the accommodations were flawless. The room itself was excellent—spacious, beautifully designed with a tranquil Balinese aesthetic, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail was clearly considered, from the high-quality linens to the immaculately clean, modern bathroom, making it a peaceful and restorative sanctuary after a day of exploring. What elevates Rama Phala beyond its beautiful setting is the superb service. Every single member of the staff was gracious, attentive, and genuinely warm. Whether it was the smooth and welcoming check-in process, the prompt and discreet housekeeping, or the poolside attendants who seemed to anticipate our needs, the service felt personalized and world-class. Finally, the location is a major asset. It manages to strike a perfect balance, offering a serene, quiet retreat that feels tucked away from the noise, yet still provides easy and quick access to Ubud's main attractions, shops, and restaurants. The combination of an excellent room, impeccable service, and a prime location made our stay completely unforgettable. We are already looking forward...
Read moreGOOD POINTS: Excellent location in Ubud. Beautiful gardens and pool. Friendly and welcoming staff.
BAD POINTS: Poorly maintained rooms - it appears nothing had been repaired or replaced and all furniture and decor is in poor condition (e.g. threadbare towels covered in stains, the aircon started leaking a significant amount of water in the room, the bed head was covered in mould). Despite appearing clean, there are obvious signs the rooms are not cleaned properly (e.g. sticky floors, phone to call reception was really dirty). WARNING: do not book if you are an allergy sufferer (hayfever, asthma, rhinitis). The room upkeep is very poor and there is a lingering smell of stale dust/mould. We complained about the room and were moved, however same issue for second room. My partner and I had strong allergic reactions to both rooms.
We only stayed for 2 nights on what should have been a 5 night stay. We changed to more satisfactory accommodation in Ubud.
Overall I would not recommend Rama Phala - the price of accommodation does not match the condition of the facility. The main issue is that it is marketed as four star premium accommodation- but the reality is very different for what you would expect at this...
Read moreRama Phala became home for us for 1 week. All stuff is taking care of customers like a family members. We dint feel that's we are staining in the hotel, it feels like relatives summer house. This place is very green and clean, cozy villas between greenish jungle. And I would like to give 10 out of 5 stars for the stuff: reception, boys and girls in the restaurant, cleaning stuff. Bali people are so much friendly and calm, it's fantastic. ||Breakfast is delicious, they are preparing main dish fresh up to your choice from 10 options, personal plate of fruits and still you can take whatever you want from buffet table.||A la karte menu and price in the restaurant is good and adequate. ||My son passed his Birthday while staying here. Hotel stuff had wished him with piece of cake complementary, it's so nice.||Pool is very clean. But quite deep for kids - note it, if your child doesn't know how to swim.||If you need day trip by car with a driver - take from hotel, price is same like outside. Reception will book, recommend and help you to plan. Hotel driver will take care of your trip!||Will recommend Rama Phala to all friends, and will be happy to come...
