Read moreThis is my #1 recommendation for Balinese food in Ubud! Where to begin? I started off with a dragon fruit smoothie, all natural, no additives. Perfect way to cool down, only lasted about 20 seconds, might recommend ordering two, such a great price. For appetizer, I ordered their water fried spinach with herbs, wow, best vegetable side dish ever! The main dish I ordered the Nasi Campur, which is a combination of chicken, tempe, tofu, egg, deep fried corn, 2 satay, vegetables, sambal matah, and white rice (out of blue rice during my visit 🥲). Each portion of this dish comes with a great new flavor. I finished my meal with the pineapple smoothie. Best dinner in Ubud and can't leave here without trying Sun Sun Warung! A few things to keep in mind before arriving. This place is quite popular with limited seating, so you should expect to wait for a seat. There is no air conditioning, so highly possible you will break into a sweat just waiting for a seat. They do offer free purified water in the waiting area. Lastly, there seems to be some construction going on right next door, out of the control of the restaurant. This didn't bother my overall experience, but may affect someone easy to aggravate.

Read moreThis is a terrible restaurant. Don't believe the online reviews — it's not worth the score. One star is too generous. We waited for more than half an hour to be seated, then waited another half an hour for our food to be served. The signature dish, Nasi Campur, was cold and the portion was very small. The rice was cold and hard and had obviously been left out for a long time. The fried food was also cold and completely soggy. The only things you could eat were the skewers, but they were not hot either. After the main course, I had to wait a long time for dessert again. This restaurant is cheap but useless. I won't eat here again, even if I'm invited. !!!!!!!!
The worst thing was the attitude of the staff; no waiter could be seen for a long time. When I left the restaurant in the heavy rain, the staff held umbrellas to escort foreign tourists out of the outdoor passage. However, when Chinese travellers were leaving, the staff moved the umbrellas on purpose. The Chinese travellers hurried to the eaves to avoid the rain, and the staff shouted at them for running. The food was hard to eat, and I had to endure the anger. It was a really...
