We had a bit of a hike to get here for dinner but made the effort based on the reviews. It received a 'People's Choice Award' last year, and people have raved about it. But really, it was pretty average, and I would not make the effort to return. I had the Coconut and Prawn Soup, which is quite tasty but prawns way over cooked and really pretty average overall. I had the Chicken Satay, which was beautifully presented. The sauce was nice, but again, it was pretty average. My husband also had the pork ribs, again quite nice, but something I am not thinking about the next day. The service was good, but on par with what I have already received and expect in Bali. There was live traditional music, but this is what pushed us into leaving sooner than we may have as it was too loud, too dominating and honestly repetitious and boring. To top it off, 4 dogs decided to bark, fight, and mate in front of the restaurant (not the restaurants fault, obviously) for most of the time we were there. So, for me, what gives a 4 or 5 star rating is when I ask myself, 'Would I go back'? And the answer is, No ! So, no 4 or 5 star...

We were served food that the restaurant didn't prepare themselves. When they were preparing our meal, one of those motorcycle vendor guys selling questionably safe street food that has been sitting there for a few hours drove up to the restaurant and they bought the meat from him that they eventually served to us.

I first thought that maybe they're just buying lunch for their workers, etc., but it was painfully clear that we were served the same as well, as pretty much all the 3-4 meat variants from a meat plate were cold and non-fresh, as if they've been sitting on that motorcycle for a few hours.

Maybe it was just our unlucky day, the restaurant was mostly empty when we visited and perhaps they couldn't be bothered to cook or had some issues in the kitchen or something, but I cannot recommend going to a restaurant where you might get sick when they outsource their cooking to a random street vendor selling unsafe food for 10%...

My first night in Ubud, I chose to dine at this restaurant, and I couldn’t have been happier with my choice. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warm smiles and a genuinely friendly atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally polite and attentive, making me feel as if I were among friends. Their positive energy truly added to the experience. As for the food, it was simply outstanding. Each dish was crafted with care and looked like a small work of art. The flavors were well-balanced and vibrant, beautifully capturing the essence of the local culture. From appetizers to dessert, everything was delicious and left a lasting impression. If you find yourself in Ubud, I highly recommend visiting this place. It’s a spot where impeccable service meets exceptional cuisine, making it an ideal choice to enjoy your first meal—or any meal—in this enchanting...

The food here is decent actually but it gave us Bali belly..try at your own risk I guess. We started off with an appetiser of fried spring rolls. The spring rolls were so hot on the outside but when we bit into it the centre was still ice cold. Spoke to the servers and they refried the same ones we had already bitten into and served it back to us. At least this time it was piping hot through and through. Nasi goreng was very average. Mie goreng tasted quite nice, not too sweet. The tempeh satay however was undercooked. Staff were attentive and checked in periodically on the food after the spring roll incident, props to them on their service recovery as they also offered to redo the tempeh satay. We declined since we didn’t want to wait again, and they offered us a platter of fresh cut fruits towards the end of our meal instead.

This little restaurant in Ubud has truly become my go-to spot for dinner every time I’m in town. I’ve been here many times now, and it never disappoints — the food, the atmosphere, the friendly service — everything keeps me coming back. My all-time favorite dish is the sweet and sour pork — perfectly cooked, flavorful, and always satisfying. For my last dinner in Ubud before heading home, I decided to try the pork ribs, and they were absolutely delicious! Tender, juicy, and packed with flavor — a perfect way to end my time here. The staff is always incredibly friendly and smiling, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a cozy, reliable place with great food and warm service in Ubud.
